The similar points it has with Hearthstone though are:
1- Card information: Attack and Health stats are basicly the same. Gold cost, when there is one, is like mana in the sense that if you don't have enough, you can't play it.
2- Card Packs and card rarity: Card packs contain 5 cards, with varying rarity. In Chronicles, there is sapphire, emerald, ruby and diamond, I think. I know it's based off of runescape gems, at least, though it mimics the common/rare/epic/legendary system.
3- Spells: Just read the text on the card to see its effects and check if you've got what is required to cast it.
