Though, I don't know why you insist on insulting my tiny intelligence. This is the second or third time you've done that, unless I'm confusing you with another Mod....
The cards look incredibly similar to Hearthstone cards. In fact, they have three numbers representing attributes of the cards, as do Hearthstone cards. That alone seems like a counterpoint to your reassurance. With those three attributes, I can't see how the game can work differently enough to be called different. I also notice that certain cards were labelled "Linza", "Arianne", and "All".
So certain cards are intended for use with certain characters....That isn't Chronicle merely looking like the games I mentioned on page 3....That means that Chronicle has the same mechanics, too. Not just the hard-to-avoid similar looks.
I did take notice of a difference, though. There's little figurines that may be representative of the player's chosen character and their cards. Maybe they even move around a battlefield or board of some sort....That might be enough to convince others, but not me.
I know it is nigh impossible to make anything 100% original in the form of gameplay and interfaces with so much good stuff already done, but Jagex used to be that magical game company who could do it.....I think....maybe I've been fooled all these years....

I've never been into card games, but I'll definitely try out Chronicle, and hopefully I'll like it
