why not add an option to exchange the bond for gold? Keep that out of players hands.

Two reasons. 1) it's too blatant. 2) it doesn't give the players a chance to decide how much these bonds are worth to us. It's a good idea but I think it risks alienating to many players. Those bonds give us a sense of control given how you can only sell them to playes.

So they finally broke their most core value and are selling RS gold for money. Thanks for all the memories, I'm cancelling my membership as soon as I'm done posting this.

actually they made their business legal and jagex takes about 10% share
i am pretty sure they will stick to the old way and not give jagex even 1%

you guys put little effort in thinking about this.



Buyable "Bonds" the gold farmers will then use these "Bonds" for simpler sales.

you can lower the price of these sure. but they will just lower their price aswel.
aslong as "Free Trade" is available gold farmers will be active. they are something all big games struggle with. and its something you should'nt dive into face first because it is going to back fire.

So ban them, but of course that would hurt the bottom line. If you can't beat them, join them. This is probably the best way to stop people other than Jagex from profiting by violating the games rules, but it has occured by changing the rules and institutionalizing real world trading. It is a complete farce to pretend that this is about improving gameplay and not about improving profits.

I'm afraid I can't quite see how this will solve it, people will still buy gp if they can get it cheaper than these bonds..
But, you need to ask, would gold farming be worth the risk of having multiple accounts banned and trillions of gp lost; only for about 4 bucks for 1m? Newest Disciple of Xau-Tak
