I like that I can finally buy membership via bonds by playing the game. Yes, players get an advantage because of real world wealth, but now players who do not have a lot of real world wealth can benefit by earning membership through playing the game.

You act like no one paid real money for the bond to begin with....you are benefiting from someone else....You have recieved 14 days of membership that someone else has paid 2x the going rate for and your happy about that....ok.

Actually, what I'm going to call the 'Robin Hood effect' here is the only redeeming/amusing feature of this. If idiots want to spend irl cash on bonds, go for it.

I hate seeing this, and I hate seeing RS become so explicitly p2w. But since making gp isn't that hard, this part's ok.

So...you are essentially selling gold now?
................
I've re-read it a few time to make sure I'm not misunderstanding something, but that's what it sounds like to me since you can buy these bonds with rl money and then sell them for ingame gp....

As for Jacmob, you're quite possibly more liberal than I. I can't get past that he profited from a criminal activity, and they hire him especially because of his experience with that. So, in essence, he's still getting rewarded for his past illicit activities irl. Quite different from giving a cheating gameplayer a second chance.

As for stopping goldfarming, I actually hope you're right. I just can't get past my skepticism/pessimism given what I know about our CEO's history.

It's never an outright lie with Mr. Gerhard, but the truth of the matter generally doesn't turn out to be the reasoning given, either.

I can definitely feel you on being turned away about him being rewarded for his criminal activites, although indirectly, I get what you're saying. If it's something they're trying to cover up or deny, I definitely can't support that. I'm personally a rehabilitated felon so I can relate to the feeling of someone highlighting your past and refusing to accept the person you are, instead of who you were. I've done worse things than cheat on a video game, but I was fortunate enough to be given a chance to show that I am not my past.

As far as MMG goes, I'm just as skeptical as you, believe me. I know when someone isn't giving it to you straight, and he's never come across to me as one that is. In the same way he doesn't come across as flat out lying. There's things he can't say for the welfare of the company, things he shouldn't say, but will say.. for the welfare of the company.. and things he wants to say, but won't say.. for the welfare of the company.

And that person is benefiting from the money the received in exchange for the bond. It's an open market with no pressure. Nobody's being oppressed or harmed by the trading of these items. If they were, they would stop trading them. It's not that hard to understand.
The person that bought the bond with real world money and traded for ingame money is happy now too. If they weren't happy, THEY WOULDN'T DO IT. The people who currently buy ingame money from gold farmers seem to like getting ingame money for real world money. Why would the addition of bonds suddenly change these people's opinions?

This is exactly what you guys fight against, what makes it okay now. This is a major slap in the face for player that work hard and follow the rules. Now you can buy mills easily where as it was actually rewarding to have this kinda cash before this update.

Hasn't this been the case since the beginning. Better something JAGEX regulates then Chinese hacker mafias.

People keep saying Jagex are selling the gold in our banks. This rather implies that we are compelled to pay for these bonds. We are not. Jagex are selling items that the buyer can hope to convince you to trade items in your bank for. Mind you, I don't like rwt and will not be purchasing bonds either from jagex or from other players, but we will see how this all goes.

Before stating your rhetorical implication-based assumptions, why not simply ask a question instead?

Oh, right. You're so blindly ignorant over this update that you're just going to deficiently try to condescend me with some illiterate attempt at an insult. Forgot this was the popular trend on forums.

Let me clarify your unwarranted stupidity for you, please. That all depends on who I'm selling my rsgp to. No I'm not going to sell it to some illegal collection of half-***ed thieves. But if the company that I'm getting it from (Not even mine, it's legally still theirs) gives me an offer to buy it back and give me real cash back that I've put into the game........ Nevermind, you'll figure it out.

Well since there are no consequences against having broken the rules by engaging in RWIT with gold farmers in the past let me be direct. Did you buy GP from gold farmers before today's update?

Had you taken the time to read my posts before becoming so insulting, you might have noticed I think the bonds update is a good one and has a lot of good outcomes for a wide variety of players.

What I am upset with is Jagex being aware of cheaters, being able to identify them, and letting them continue with a wink-wink nod-nod and gain advantage over honest players.

The condescending way in which you respond to people gave me the impression that you were part of the 40%. Sorry if I got it wrong from the way you chose to express yourself.
