So we are now the bots and earn money for jagex when i understand that right.
Before the bots make gold and earn real money from it.
Now we sell gold and other things and jagex get the money .
On the end it is gold/rare for real money from jagex.
Jagex said they never do this so really guys the best idea ever just say "we kill the gold farming with it" and all that with a video like this and god is always good to say.
SAD and the people belive that...
NEVER NEVER NEVER trust JAGEX anymore!!!

Gold bless all people where see the truth behinde all this laying words in this video and idea!

poor very poor, jagex selling runescape gold

1m = 37 cents

all i have to say is lol still cheaper to buy from gold farmers, so +1 to gold farmers and gold sellers ?
Jagex are not selling gold and have no intention of doing so. The introduction of bonds does not result in any new gold being added into the game. This new system allows players to control the movement of their wealth, and the benefits within the game. Players can trade bonds for an item at the price they decide and this moves wealth within the player economy without creating or injecting new gold into this economy.

Wile thinking about it: even if it is 40%... if Jagex can really track this.. why not take the bought money + a fine ...
You keep the players, but they will think twice before buying gold again..

For everyone who has never played another game this sounds bad.

For those who have played some other games I would like to point to EVE Online from CCP.

This game has a very similar system with their PLEX.
I have never felt the need to buy currency in EVE because of this system. Granted there is gold farming and you can buy gold from 3rd party sites. But their profits are limited by the 500,000,000 = $20 rule and makes it inefficient to do so for the risk.

That being said EVE has one of the most stable game economies out there.
All in all I have to give JaGEx a great job for following one of the best examples of well designed anti 3rd party trading deterrents of any MMO.

Just waiting for you to follow EVE's other example of hosing and facilitating the buying and selling of characters using the Bond as a tax on the act.

My only real concern is the 14 day aspect I wish it would have been 30 days for *10 just to make things easier.

All in all 9/10 great job.

This update does nothing to prevent gold farming, what it does is the following:

Tells players that 'Hey if you bribe us with $5 we will turn a blind eye and let you transfer any amount of gold you want from any gold farming website and it will look legit so we won't ban you'

Seriously that is my interpretation and I think it is 100% accurate

Mod Redfox : you did not answer evil crown3 's question/comment with yours.

So I will restate it: if the exchange rate of gold for real life money offered by JAgex is worst then the one by goldfarmers.. how will this stop them having customers?
