Ah, so Runescape has officially become Pay2Win with the introduction of gold purchasable directly from Jagex.

Really does disgust me how much these ways of getting extra-revenue Jagex has added in the past year and a half or so has totally contradicted their old values and statements, and has really ruined the game.

Honestly, this update has the potential to cause Runescape's demise. It's way easier for this update to be a complete failure and cause the game to end, than it does to be successful and actually "fix" the economy and RWT. I guess back a few years when Jagex said Runescape did not allow RWT of any kind, they forgot to put the asterick stating "except from us"

To be honest, this is both a good thing and a bad thing, but I do honestly think this was the right step to make at this point. Sometimes the right choice is not a "good" thing.

The bad thing is that we can now indirectly buy Runescape GP with real world money, by selling these bonds in-game.

However, I think it answers many more problems than it causes, and if people are going to buy Runescape GP anyways, then it might as well go to Jagex for updates. It's for the best.

What was that about your financial status irl shouldn't effect your gameplay jagex?

If Jagex really wants to counter inflation caused by botters, they should instead look for ways to set up a banking system in RuneScape.. where legit players can deposit their money in investment / savings funds and gain interest...

As for why they haven´t banned the 50% that is RWT-ing...
because many of those people are paying customers (members) and they just cannot afford to lose those people.

Great idea but it can never work in the real world.

Gold farmers will ALWAYS be cheaper then your bonds.
And the people that BUY gold will buy from them a lot faster because then they get more bang for there buck.
And gold and items aren't the only things you can buy from the real world traders.
Plenty of them offer time too.
Time for either leveling your skill or doing a quest.

The ONLY way to stop real world trading is by hurting the people that BUY from the traders in the first place.
If you can stop the buyers then the sellers will move to another game.

So ANY update you make that doesn't target the buyers will automaticly fail.

So no matter if you sell Bonds or MarkBurgers if the target is the sellers you might as well forget about it.

give runescape a "sinners go to hell mentality." give the permanent title "botter/goldbuyer" to people who have done it. clean out their banks and money. and halve their stats and place limits. kekekekeke
