I have been playing for a very long time hmm, 8 years+
let's face some facts:
1) gold farming is and has been going on
2) someone else is making money off of jagex's great game... their ideas, using this
3) sorry, if some people want to pay to win that is their right you don't have to like it
positives:
+bonds will allow good people to work together & give membership to someone
+no credit card sharing, account sharing, scamming sites, viruses, fraud
complaints and replies to complaints stated:
-bonds will allow players who have 2 billion to have lots of years of membership
okay come on... the bonds do not come out of thin air, it is 1 month for 10$ USD. a bit more than the current rate in fact. someone HAS to buy these, to put them in the game. the players with 2 billion who buy these.... are buying something that is helping jagex. so what if they can sit back and turn their cash into membership, don't they have the right? some of them really did work hard, they can retire now. does it mean the game is losing their money, yes, does it mean the game is losing money because of them - no- it is actually gaining money, someone else's money (and at a higher rate)
-bonds will not be able to compete with gold farmer prices
this might have been true at the start but let's consider this:
current price is 8.6m for 14 days, 5$
500 cents 8.6m
58 cents 1m
is this not cheap? it might have started at twice that, 15m or whatever but at this rate it can definitely compete
-bonds make the game pay to win
so what! if someone wants to pay jagex 10$ for 17m and then use that 17m to buy ores, smelt them, smith them, get lots of levels.... that is their choice it does not have to be your choice and you do not have to judge them for it, we have to respect them even if we do not agree with them. you'll get there, just slower
you'll also have more fun playing your way, you can still compete, later
kudos jagex for this bold measure, use the money to better the game for us all!
