Why get hung up on what RWT means, let’s call it micro-transactions.

Yep, Jagex can do what they like, but doesn't mean it will go down well, micro transactions like bonds or any transaction such as gambling with spins for SOF which can in turn benefit a select amount of people above other players due to their financial situation will cheapen the game.

Saying RWT (or micro-transactions for people that are that bothered about the title) is the same as paying for membership? No, it may be real money that's it, any other comparison is obsurd, it's not a financial injection for advancement of in game progress by bypassing time and work through obtaining items quickly with personal monies. Yes it gives you access to more than free to play but free to play is just a virtual demo to promote full membership.

=================
The Old Rules on Real-World Trading
==================
What is real-world trading?

Real-world trading is the term used for the real-world purchase of services with the intention of advancing your Jagex character. This includes, but is not limited to: purchasing gold or items in Runescape, buying a Runescape account as well as paying someone to increase your account** experience(XP) in a skill or for them to complete quests and activates on your behalf.

Why do we have this rule?

We have this rule for two reasons:

1. We don’t want players to be able to buy their way to success in Runescape. If we let players start doing this, it devalues Runescape for others. We feel your status in real-life shouldn’t affect your ability to be successful in Runescape. "

----------------------------------

I'm past really minding now, it is what it is, I come on to relax every now and then since 2004 and will probably to do so if only to quest.

Was this from the website/old website?
Nothing they can really say to this, is there?

I vote that Jagex reward the honest players by giving us daily redeemable rewards for not botting that have to be manually obtained. :) -thumbs up-

Edit:

And! OHHH! I just had an idea. :O

Jagex should actually crack the whip if they are serious about this.
They should have, say, a month or two where every single time you log in you have to go to, say, a bank, and enter some code, or perform some task, or redeem some item to prove that you are an active player, and anyone who logs in but doesn't do this "task" for, say, 3 log-ins, is temporarily banned until they either submit an appeal or are perma-banned?

opinions? it would be a lot of work for Jagex but hey, it would work. (I think)

It would be like passing through TSA of runescape before boarding the rune-flight until terror level is back at green.

Mark, your constant push for real world money has know limits. Falling membership is proof of this. The constant push for players to report bots was a joke at best.Players knew full well it would'nt help the cause. We went out of our way to support you thinking you had a solution. Aparantly not. Your game is dieing and nothing short of your resignation will help.

To put it simply.. the word is out on this game and nothing can be done to stop the downfall.
Too bad really,I used to enjoy it.

And while were at it , I wonder how long your game would survive if players DID NOT report bugs/glitches. I get the feeling that I pay(or used too) to report things that your crack staff should already have tested.

And so there's no confusion, Mark , it has to be tough taking all the abuse,understandable. But some of your explanations of current matters flat out boggle the mind.

What do you expect him to do? These decisions are not his to make any longer but IVP's. All he can do is lie to us and hope for the best. If anything we should feel sorry for him though if he had any true integrity he would just quit and find another job that hopefully wouldn't require him to lie to their customer base.

That's like taking the valor out of integrity. By implementing such a system we're no longer compelled to do what is right out of the sake of doing what is naturally right (not cheating); you shouldn't need to be rewarded for doing the right thing. Play the game and enjoy the benefits of having an accomplished account that was achieved in a fair/legitimate manner... that's the reward

unfortunately thats not how a lot of people work, which is why we're in this predicament.

In a perfect world...
