Jagex has finally started selling gold outright, and most of the community is OK with it. Just goes to show that gradually easing into something works far better than suddenly introducing it.

Every update over the past 2 years has been leading us to this point.

JAGEX, the players r right, even tho the ill gotten gain bonds don't give exp, any1 can buy the bonds and use it to train some skills to lvl 99 cause the bonds have monitary value. if the value was dropped to 0, it would indeed be a lose against rwt. having said that, u claim it wont "inject" any extra gold in the economy but unlike the days of old, players no longer need to work as hard to get wat they want is wat this mmo is about: hard work and determination. however u have been always breaking ur OWN rules all the time. the bonds need to be tweeked another way other than monitary value. the sof is ur first example of ur corruption. like bonds it is p2w with pendants and lamps. p2w does not necessisaily mean wat is right and wat is wrong, in this case p2w means ANY unfair advantage of quick gold or exp to get lvl 99,sgs,nex armor and more. when jad came out every1 was estatic to test their mettel, metal and weapons on the caves. That is when u HAD to work hard to kick ass and chew bacon, but now with these bonds, any lazy-ass brain deteriated couch tuna potato can buy these bonds, trade for gold buy the equipment and kill vorago in no time. if u cant see past ur greed and pride, then NO1 will ever need to work hard again. money will never be spent again just passed around from 1 hand to another.

now for the players. If jagex really wats to stop rwt then they would not have done sof, al tho sgs is a nice touch with out benefits. (minus the pets for example) we really have not gone nowhere with this, jag is indeed trying to stop rwt in rs3 and osrs but all both sides been doing is flaming jagex and them making many kurasks**it excusses. when is come to war, we need to make a compremise, yes JAGEX even if it makes u lose a few million pounds. That being said jagex also screwed up a ***** ton of irony. for example, slayer exp once gained by health and is now / by 1000. instead of a slayer monster give 100 exp for have 100 hp, it give 100 xp for having 10k hp

160 GP EPIC FAIL!!!!

IDK where you've been buying your gold from but a quick search will show y'all that five dollars can illegally get you more than 160 GP. So whats the point in bonds? Seems to me that by tracking a players activities and banning suspicious wealth transfers would help. I bet the USA-NSA could tell you who's buying gold hehe.

if you want to stop gold farming and rwt you should allow those with 99 in a skill like wc reap the rewards of their time invested in that skill by say.... doubling the speed that they get magic logs. Allowing a player the ability to make 500m for third age in shorter order than what is currently available. I think that would have a bigger impact on gold farming and give players another incentive to get a 99 skillset in an honest fashion. sort of like RL. Ive never seen a PHD making minimum wages, have you??

Kick gold farmers right where it really hurts!

Player Examples
I am a8jk13tjkp and I am a corrupt gold farmer. I’ve scammed, hijacked, DDoSed and defrauded millions of RuneScape players over the years.

Now that players can trade Bonds with each other in exchange for any in-game resources, my business is completely screwed!

Never happened !!!

How about my name is our soul i have played for over 7 years. Never bought sold or tried to cheat. I was told when I first started that I would lose my account if I did any of these things. yeah I feel like I got got royally screwed over. Just for the company to take over the business that rwt started by force and I still lose out for not having a big bank irl.

Thanks jagex for making me follow the rules.

Contradictions from vid from MMG.

"In the past couple of months the game has been largely bot free." then goes on to say that 40% of us are buying gold and supporting gold farming bots.

"unlock valor on your account" What the flip does that mean? I need to buy into your scam to be valiant? nty

so if the game is largely bot freee then who and how are these 40-50 percent of idiots?

If your technology is so advanced, why not ban the rule breakers instead of bringing their mentality into this game? I will never buy one of your bonds or accept one of your bonds as a gift. shame on you for accusing your players of something that is literally impossible if the gold farming bots are extinct like you said.

I am ashamed that you are trying to help those that have cheated in the past instead of banning them or at the very least taking away their wealth.

As the price of Bonds seems that high (11.6mill currently), (free) players still have the same choice:
- Become member by payment and earn money more quickly (which should make you stay member by paying with in-game money).
- Buy the millions of in-game cash from gold farmers and get the same result as becoming member.

Seems great =\

I don't think the economy will be balanced by this update as buying even 1 bond with real cash means +11,6 million in-game cash.
We could also just ban money and retrieve it all for random items instead. Would be quite funny if you ask me.

P.S.
Personally, I never bought any in-game gold from real cash as in my opinion, it's a waste of your money. Go buy something more useful for it instead.

They would make another account just a few moments after they are banned and just try another time.

That would not work.
Reason: LOOK TO NORWAY! :D :(
PhDs doesn't make minimum wages because they're so few.
A lot of the active players have a 99, I'd say close to half of them got it in a profitable skill. The point is, a lot of players would make money easier.
This would lead to a general jump in the price-level. We would all get richer, but it wouldn't matter that much, since everything would be more expensive.
If you want a real example, take a look at my country, NORWAY! :)

This half-hearted lesson in economical theory was brought to you by Ali the Wise Corp.

Now to comment on the bonds stuff.

I understand that people rage, and that they are in fact allowing RWT. But that means the money will at least go to Jagex, now some scamming nerds (I'm a nerd myself, so I'm allowed to say it).
And let's face the facts, goldfarming IS a big problem, so this IS necessary.

The only problem I got about this is the way they presented it. They present it like it's because they're so incredibly nice, hard-working and will do anything for the players, when they in-fact just found a way to move the customers from the scamming nerds over to themselves.

That's all I wanted to say, and I'm sorry for my bad grammar.

Yours truly,
Ali the Wise
