Now for the bad news. This past summer, one of these 'kids' in my clan was growing in his life and as such quite inactive in the game, but looked to a few of us oldtimers as mentors, and would infrequently sign in to show us old fogies he was doing well. To shorten this, he returned to find his account hacked. Two of us in the clan lauded the customer support team, and set on to help him recover his account. We found and offered him the accounthelp at jagex email address which he tried, we also emailed on his behalf. His account name was Roxtarr. With two to three weeks of no response, multiple emailings, visits to jmods posts, friendchats whatever we could think of, this player still had no assistance, no contact, no hint of anything from Jagex. I cannot tell you how disappointing this was for all of us. We finally, finally made twitter accounts. We poured out two to three umm threads or whichever you call tweet messages to the support team there. I took another three to five days, but he did finally receive contact and assistance from the team.
To the team, I trusted you all, I lauded your assistance, I appreciated your team. I was not a happy camper seeking help and exposing myself and my professional stature by having reference to a game on this twitter account that I would NEVER! in my life want out there on the web . I am old-school and I am professional, and in my circles at my age, we do not do these things. We do not have game sites and references where someone could find them on a distrusted 3rd party, uncomfortable twitter thing...this was inappropriate and expunged asap. I do not want to facebook, twitter or link-in to anything here. I want the old care, guidance, professionalism, and rs website access to support within the game website and tools that this old fogie loves and trusts. I for one am begging for easily accessed account help within the rs website that this old fogie can once again laud and pass on to all whom need. Thank you for reading

Lastly, as these events passed, I never received a poll such as MS, or Intuit or many tech support sites do polling the result of my customer service contact experience. Exactly how are you measuring this, as I am one to fill out these post-contact surveys to help the company improve the support experience. How exactly would you have known my story in all three instances and if I was happy, appreciative or frustrated?

"Q2 - Why don't we announce server etc issues on the website?
- Not everyone uses the website, so we try to reach as many as possible across multiple media..." But some of us do use this website solely, as it's our game home! Thank you for letting me/us know that these issues will also be in the support center, I will add that to my bag of rs info tools. I had never known that. But please please please, even with a reference on the homepage, make this obvious!

To all the non-tweeting, non-outside 'non-connected' old-timers, we implore you simply let us know here, in our home what's going on, and how to fix what's broken if we need you, trust we will love you for this.

If i am needing help with something I go to the runescape webpage, not to twitter( no account there and no intentions of making one) but I do have facebook, but never check out runescape on there tho I have liked the page. My facebook is solely to keep in contact with friend and family. I guess this is because of my age.

Since the wiki came out I look there more now, for guides and general help with quests etc.

There has been the odd occasion I contacted customer help long long ago, and tbh I wouldn't have a clue how to contact them now, as you can't seem to start a message tho them thru the message centre, that I have found.

Also because I live in a rural area with limited broadband ( on satellite) I have to plan my video watching to when I can watch off peak. I play runescape in minimum mode simply because i can't risk going over my monthly allowance of 5gb on peak times, as I share my internet with my husband. I would love to have help with how to minimise my internet usage when playing, but still be able to use features that won't affect it, but as i don't know how much runescape uses in different settings I just select the mimimum and hope for the best. And don't get me talking about lag!!! I experience it quite a bit but can't improve my internet connection due to being a rural customer, so I just manage as best I can. I even play with sound off too.

Remember not all your players are tech savvy young kids. There is a lot of us older players who don't have a clue how to maximise their runescape experience, or fix stuff when it goes wrong.

You Unfairly banned my account Anoobass5//Pepper. I admit to guilt when it comes to the offences that landed me a two day suspension. I committed no further offences. Yet still am banned.! Please rectify this.

Hello Im ranked "10" overall and had no help the past 8 days since i got hacked...... im a priority account and when i got hacked it took jagex 2hour to lock my acc which gave the hacker more then enough time to get into my bank and take all they needed to take, i had jag + pin....

the responses i got from jagex/jmods was all automated and not even up to date automated 1s....

was wondering if this survey/calculations is correct because i doubt i am the only 1.

im looking to get a refund because it wasnt my fault i got hacked....

Jagex, if your customer support is what you hype it to be.. I would have expected at least one Jmod to help out My Kingz. Rank 10 in the entire game, and all he gets is automated messages? Wish I could agree with that rating you guys made up for yourselves.
