I find this is an awesome update. It's a great opportunity for those who have been eagerly waiting for the name of their dreams. Once, they get the name they want, they would want to play this game more.

Some people might not even get the names they want because Jagex is going to be releasing the list, if someone wanted a name bad enough they would have been wanting this name for some time and had them added to their ignore list. So the list is completely pointless and only useful for those who don't know what they want as a display name and want to snipe a rare name out from under someone who has wanted that name for a very long time, except the sniper gets to it first because of the list.
Don't release the list Jagex!
If someone wants a name bad enough, they will have wanted it long before your list.
It only causes anxiety for those of us who have wanted that name for a long time, to be online when the list is released so some person who doesn't even care much about the name, gets it before us.

I wish to ask all of you who keep complaining that this isn't fair to just think on all the times you wished to change your display name and it said ''this name is already taken.'' Even if they do lose their display name they can always get a new one it isn't the end of the world. By the way, if you are talking right now and saying it isn't fair your account is still active so just stop complaining. In conclusion I think that this is a great idea even if I don't plan on ever changing my name. Thank you

My old rsn is like 12 years old and i have changed it 2 weeks ago because of the airplane crash in Ukraine. This because my rsn was easy to read wrong and point me out as a racist.. or a massive murder while i stood for my nationality and pk addiction i had in runescape classic
I discussed the matter with a few player mods befor changing it. It was my own initiative, nobody asked me to change it.
However, i will change my rsn back when the heat is gone from the accident.. if it is still possible
Morale of this post is that i dont like name changes.. I Always boycot it but now i had a good reason to change mine.. I want to warn you guys.. when you change your rsn.. I'm not the only one beeing to lazy to lookup your old rsn to see who you are or paste a note on your name in my friendlist. if your new chosen name differs to much, there is a posibility people remove you from their friendlist.
Also, choose your name in pride.. create history with it and keep it alive by keeping your runscape name alive
