Some names have physically been taken off the roster, but haven't been or became publicly available as i see numerous names I've been looking to obtain one. That say unknown player in game now, that didn't say that before & are clearly deleted names as it has them displayed as numbers & letters.

lol i am only sure about one thing , funny puppy is on rs 15 years (on f2p b4 become member, so that year under me let not make you thinking that i lie) , never change name, and lol i realy dont want anyone else pick my nickname from rs; when i die, i want funny puppy name die with me, also dont think would be nice that someone take name "old night", think jagex and old players know what i meen with that.

That is not a bad idea, but having these updates posted by a Mod on forums should do the trick , I think (less on Twitter, more on RuneScape forums). I think it would be great if the names became available a while before a list is posted up. That way, anyone who has had their eye on a specific name can get to that name before the rare-name hunters/snipers.

It's also great that a Mod has replied on this thread. :)

Edit: Looks like I've misread!! I agree, sending an e-mail to the account name owners wouldn't hurt. :)

I hope I get the name I want, it's going to be slim, my fingers and toes are crossed. I also hope the name release is done fair as people live all over the world, work, sleep, school and other activities. So I'm hoping name releases happen at different times on different days. I also hope they don't release all the character names which will be coming available within the forums or other social media. I also hope names are released by alphabetical order. Something like:

On Monday 4 at 11 pm names starting with A will be released. On Tuesday 5 at 3 am all three letter names will be released on Wednesday names beginning with B and so on. Well something like this anyway.
