You do make a point,( which could have been done in a much less abusive fashion) this whole thing is causing panic and needs to be addressed.
Personally I do feel that this is Jagex's responsibility in that as they are proposing to force everyone to convert to this type of security, they should have correct, up to date, easily read and understood information and instructions available. People tend to dislike and distrust things they do not understand or are not equiped to deal with. This is human nature. Also, you are correct when you said many people are not reading the entire thread, ( also human nature) and therefore not finding most of the positive, helpfull infomation available here. So instead of posting, and re-posting comments that belittle and provoke, since you seem to have the time on your hands to make numerous posts, might I suggest you include the following information in those posts:
How To: Authenticator on PC - found in the General Forum
Petition to Keep JAG - found in the Future Game Updates Forum

Most people who like and are now using the new security measure, have also commented that they see no reason to dispense with JAG . Offering it for those who are not inclined to use the Authenticator just makes good sense.

I am posting here as the listed and advertised customer support forum for "Account Security" is no longer where this web site points one to.

I tried to disable Authenticator as I have been unable to make it work on additional computers I wish to play on in my house.

Each time I click on "disable" the program tells me an email is sent to me with a link to click on to complete the action...but....I never get this email. Instead I get an email allegedly from Jagex telling me an IP address from Lithuania is trying to access my account.....at this point I am only able to play on 1 specific PC.

At this point, I am not a pleased customer Jagex. :@

I DO NOT like Authenticator. I am very skeptical about the capabilities it has to protect my account from hackers. I would rather cook up a bunch of complex pass-words and use my anti-virus than this garbage. Please bring back JAG!!!!

This would be fine for someone with a smartphone, but for those of us who can not afford that option or do not have a smartphone, this is useless to us.
Besides, I personally would rather spend my time playing the game as opposed to punching in more numbers.
