I don't often post, but this update and forum has prompted me to.

It's true one doesn't need a smart phone, but according to the PC instructions for the authenticator:

"The instructions below are intended as guide only. Jagex is not responsible for the content of the application outlined below and players using it do so at their own risk."

I am puzzled how the new and improved account security is good for those of us without smart phones, if we are to be using it "at their own risk!"

I would love to have my account secure, but I can't see how adding additional login time to what is usually, for me, a short span to play at a time will increase my enjoyment of the game.

I hope some response is made to the many players in this situation.

Thank you.

Everything we use is at our own risk, even the ones using the phone authenticators.

Does Jagex pay you to downplay people's concerns in their place?

I don't have iphone or android... And it would be really bad if JAG will be removed... Now my account will not be so safe as before... This isn't fair. Jagex should keep both securities. I hope hackers are happier now... :(
Player since 2010 September. Although, not always rich.

i totally agree with you sigis this isnt right and they should now change it or atleast have a Vote now i have to worry everyday if i'm offline and what if my account gets hacked because of this new authenticator for those who approve the authenticator....i dont* approve of you.

whats more i agree with others who are the same as me who have the same problem as me who feel the same way as me and some who even think the same i think about this rubbish and btw why not keep J guardian now your just asking for us who dont have a smartphone to get hacked so many problems with this update hated it....hated it didnt like it highly disagree with it and for those who have the same thought as me be sure to share it cause i'll support those who think this is all rubbish.
