I'm really disappointed. I own a Nokia phone with a Symbian system in it. I was pleased with your JAG system. I'd like to keep my account in safety. But now its impossible with your new Authenticator systems.. :( . I think this problem will record more people than just me. So it would be great if you do anything with it or keep JAG...

The setup was very fast and easy!

Now, for those complaining that they don't have a smartphone, you can just install the application on your computer. That does not limit you to just that computer, you just have to know the code to log in from somewhere else, the same as your phone.

There's literally nothing to complain about. If you think that it makes you less secure, you're wrong - if someone has access to your physical computer and get your code, you still have your normal pass protecting you...

How many people don't have a smart phone seriously? This is hilarious, it's like watching an old peoples gathering.

Brilliant update Jagex, love the idea and everything worked flawlessly from my Sony Xper*a Z2.
Mod Sayln: 22.10.16 - It was working as intended

Why do you enjoy depriving other people from their security? "muhaha, every sheeple has a smartphone", very clever. It's just stupid to kill the old system instead of adding the new one as an ADDITION (as opposed to a REPLACEMENT).

What if I have my authenticator on my comp at home, and I try to play somewhere else, at a friend for example ? How can I get the code when it changes in every 30 seconds ? It's not something I can remember, since it keeps changing.

And your other argument, that we still have our normal pass to protect us...that was the point of adding bonus security, that our pass is not considered safe enough. With JAG, if someone somehow got your pass, still couldn't use your account since it could only be reached from trusted computer. Now if the hacker gets your pass, and gets your email too (which is very likely, much easier than to get the RS pass), he can turn off the authenticator in a sec and boom, your account is gone forever. The authenticator is much much less safe than JAG, since JAG required the hacker to physically sit at your trusted comp which was very unlikely.

Like many others i don't have a smart phone, but an older phone i only carry for emergencies ( yep I am a golden oldie runescape addict) and i don't want to replace this yet with a new complicated smart phone which I won't use any of the fantastic new features.

I currently use JAG as I travel each week so use 2 internet connections to log in, one at home and one at my mums where I stay for 2 days each week

I am not sure if that will affect me logging in at mums now :( and I am not happy about JAG being removed for this as I was very happy how we had to set up each device we used as it made me feel secure.

Also I am planning to get a new laptop soon to replace my golden oldie laptop as well and can see I will be paranoid about setting that up as well feeling my account could be stolen.

Is there a way we can keep JAG and the new system, or somehow incorporate our security questions and email
