I'm with others - that it would be nice to keep JAG as an extra security measure. But I also do think this new system is really secure, provided you have at least one alternate device to use the authenticator with.

For people who only have one device, I do realize that this could become a potential problem, and I would like to see Jagex look into it some more!

I don't have any Cell phones /Smartphone -.-'' J.A.G I never had problems with it works fine to me and I can't get a smartphone at the moment don't have the budget so what do I do now? Huh?! -.-'' Gg Jagex! :(

I will not be using this bull. If this were optional I'd be fine with it, but it isn't. You just removed something that worked for everyone in favor of something only some can actually use. No. Just no. You have already made so many craptastic updates recently, & if there'll be more like this in the future then my account with this site isn't worth protecting anymore. I am not buying a close to $500 phone just so your new thing can work, nor am I buying another equally expensive computer just for your new crapware. If you want to involve phones so badly, you could just text a 6 digit code to my regular phone. Everyone can text. Then if the code works have the person answer the JAG questions, then add the device for however long. It'd be more complicated than the already perfect JAG, but it'd be much better than this.

Okay, so we have to do inconvenience ourselves every 30 days for less protection? Sure, it's nice to have it linked to your phone. But what if you don't have a smartphone? You then tell us to find a "suitable authentication software that you can download" without providing us with a safe website to get this on. Sketchy.
And does this help against key loggers? It doesn't sound like it does for players without smartphones.

Some of us love Jag - please let this be optional and don't remove jag in the future. I know too many older players that barely know how to use google as it is.

I'm trying to figure out how I'm supposed to get this application. I can't download the authenticator app without having a registered phone linked to my Microsoft account. I don't have any type of mobile device that I could link my account to. I don't want to lose JAG protection and not be able to use this feature to keep my account secure. Any advice there? I'd prefer not to be forced into downloading a cracked version of this application because of a major oversight.
