Half of OSRS are bots. While I don't know how accurate that is, that's really a question for Mod MMG. He claims to have this top notch bot detection but is too lazy to bring it to OSRS? Again back to my original point, give us somethign to look forward to (F2P, Bot detection like RS3, proper engine team or a full time engine guy) instead of being a cash grab.

I'm not sure if you're agreeing iwth me here or what?

ill be honest with you, i do not believe what the mod said is true... i generaly dont disagree with a jagex mod but i will this time, we had 200k players at some times... and now u see 50k to 100k rarely 120k if ur lucky.... u cant tell me all of those was all just bots and gold farmers???? plus i no of hundreds of players who quit and have not came back cause of the stupidity of selling xp and selling items.. selling everything.. demolishing what rs stood for at one time. they use to say they would never ever ever selll gp or xp or items!!!.. even today when people get scammed or whatever happens rs mods say oh sorry we cant help you cause of technology crap and they cant give items back.. yet they can sell everything if you have cash in hand???? ya you luv ur players dont you. and to top this all off..... if the player count was truly what its always been minus the bots and crud... then why recently do you do all this saleing xp... saling items... over rides... selling bonds for gp... and then your even sinking so low to have outside companys pay you to get them some customer's slash attraction to there sites... so now we have opportunitys to make u money by participating in some advertisements and offers in exchange for some free rs stuff???????? dont get me wrong i luv rs but i think the game is going down hill fast... and the problem is sorry to tell you but as uve said urself most of us started out long ago... we make new accounts which represent some lower levels also... and we are older now... basicly unless you attract newer generations to the game this game will continue to go down hill till its gone and u move onto another game... ull lose it over time... u need to attract newer generations... do more advertising and make it more like what kids what now days to keep this game going... personaly i like it how it use to be but i hate to see the game die cause i luv it. so if u gotta change it then do it cause ill always play it no matter what

dont get me wrong i understand you cant just give gp or items to every person who claims to got scammed, but you can to the ones who have proof they was really scammed by sending the reports that you guys read and see from your end.. you can filter out fake from real... plus most who scam have more than one report against them... now if its a low level then maybe ya its a scam to scam for gp... but when you find scammers you should give a warning with some temp ban... second time its a perm ban and block of ip or some thing to ensure than cant get back on rs any more.... its a simple process.. could work for all people.

The last chart only goes to show that all your "new" players make accounts to stay on OSRS and never touch RS3, leaving their total below 100.

RS3 is not bringing in new players faster than most are leaving due to stuff like MTX or just being burnt out of how you handle the game. Those charts are not proving that RS3 is doing good whatsoever.

Please never touch Old School with MTX, I don't know what would happen.

Also, what does " 1% of players have over 1 Billion GP in total wealth " even mean? 1% of what? All accounts ever created? That's 2 million people. Active players? What does active even mean in that context, and how many people is that? Current members? That leaves out a lot of F2P accounts / mules who have rares and a lot of inactive cash. You're just throwing a meaningless percentage there.

It's a meaningless percentage to a meaningless statistic; will knowing the current number of billionaires in game change anything whatsoever? These statistics are just a little food for thought, why are people complaining so much?
