there is no way that gender stat can be acurate first off alot of guys do use girl charecters tho this does also work in reverse second i see a very balanced number of guy and girl char and in your survey i doubt you could have gone as far as getting the real truith of whos guy and whos girl the only method you had was charecter and at 16% i see way more girl chars then that

This was the sentence directly after the statistic you were referring to. They are talking about the actual gender of players, not of characters. A Zamorakian lorehound, probably.

Hi Jagex, see us veterans in that 19-25 age range? We're all quitting/quit because of ^. Makes it very hard to believe that the playerbase that was brought up on fair play and money IRL not effecting our characters is that large. And frankly, I don't think any but a very small minority are picking RS over League, Dota, Minecraft, etc.

Runescape didn't even place for the golden joystick last time....

Finally some real data, I have tried convincing people that the truth is figures around these but they just kept on believing things like there is no real people on EOC and all are on old-school, which isn't true about 1/4 of people are on OSRS. you can see this when EOC is down the total players online is 1/4 of what it was just before it went down, and even some of these are people that were playing EOC but since its down are playing OSRS (yes I know this would make very little difference in the true numbers but it is still in favor of EOC).

All in all people need to stop being so stubborn and realize the game has progressed and moved forward and is still doing strongly and isn't even close to being "dead".

this is completely false, yes some have quit for those reasons but not the majority, I am dead in the middle of that age range, 22 and I love the community now then it was before. before people were all about rs gold and money money money so many scamming, luring, gambling etc. going on and now the community is full of helpful people who are just having fun together not to worried about that stuff. Yes its not all 100% and some people are still like that but overall the community is much much better.

As for buying XP, I do not personally agree with this but its not that bad now they changed 80% of xp to bonus xp so you don't get all this xp you just get bonus double xp on random skills, much better way to do it and it is showing.

Even before the shift to bonus experience, it was prohibitively expensive to get a reasonable amount of experience out of the SoF/TH activities. If you're willing to spend $1k+ on a video-game, you kind of deserve that single 99. A Zamorakian lorehound, probably.

People can still lie, and no one I know has ever been surveyed.

There are several hundred thousand people playing Runescape, and it would make no sense for it to trend more heavily towards a male-dominated set of numbers when it's much more common for people to pretend to be girls, if your "people can still lie" is statistically significant in any way. A Zamorakian lorehound, probably.

I'm just showing how his attempt at being informative with that sentence -- which is the purpose of this newspost with a dash of PR -- did not work out at all. I thought it had a lot of interesting information, but that part along a few others made no sense.
