By far my favorite update of the year was the new interface system. It did everything I had been desperately craving from this game for years. I can have more than one tab out at a time, I can keybind food and whatnot (no more frantically scrambling through my inventory during those boss battles, that SUCKED! ) and just full control over where I want everything to be.

My biggest disappointment was that the Evolution of Combat has not yet been fully optimized for the game. Old quest bosses remain laughably underpowered or entirely broken. While it's been great for new content, I still look back with shame upon the host of dead minigames (removing xp from pvp didn't help!) and disappointing shadows of old quest bosses (come on nomad, HIT ME!)

Bonds were a net plus. While I'm still fully opposed to microtransactions, it was a step forward to allow players who don't want to buy into them access to the microtransaction content. I have since bought multitudes of items with loyalty points and gp-bought runecoins alike.

But I still hate the squeal of fortune. burn it in a fire, or at least never show that ugly goblin on the front page again. I scroll down for new updates, see his awful face, and it just sours my mood. Disabling the pop-up ingame would be equally nice.

I look forward to the elf lands content far more than the new skill. Don't give us a Duke Nukem Forever, where you hype it up for years and disappoint. I want those crystals to shimmer. Headcanon Haven, where everything is made up and the points don't matter.

I'd love to stand by the players as well as staff who were
beyond determined to remove the gold farm site bots
, as we had a lot of them this year in well populated worlds.

Their great numbers only mean that the game is heading towards the right path, since all they do is attempt to accomplish the opposite.

I am glad the Players and of course Staff, has done a tremendous job of keeping these servers clean and rid of these evil elves or as I call them, evil son's of **** so that we can achieve what RuneScape is supposed to be, a place simply for players to play and enjoy the game.

At this point I'd love thank our team from the bottom of my heart, if they do read this post. We've been a part of this for a very long time and although the rewards are not materialistic, the bond we've created through our group is more than rewarding to me.

If 2014 is truly about "us" then let "us" vote on the EoC's removal. It's been over a year and has killed the game for many of us. If it can't pass a popular vote after a year of being implemented it should just be removed. Give the players what they want.

2013 was the year that I, unfortunately, decided to stop playing this game. I've been a paying member for over ten years but, between EOC and RS3, this game is just not the same one that I grew to enjoy so much.

I tried playing Old School but soon quit deciding that I didn't want to reinvest all that time AGAIN to build up my character. I wish RS would have started us off exactly where our characters were back in August 2007 but I guess that wasn't to be.

So sadly for me I have bid farewell to RS. Thanks for 10 plus years of memories. I wish it could have lasted longer....
