This year was pretty good, a ton of updates, but also, alot of lag =/. I somewhat agree with Anatamize; more quests would be really fun! Hopefully another great single-player opponent too like the QBD would be an awesome update :)

Please, if the majority of the community does not want an update, it shouldn't pass. If you're saying you're part of a minority of users who like the new updates, then that's good for you. Not everyone shares the same opinion as you.

Player submitted updates are from players , but that does not mean everyone will enjoy them. Afterall, in the "Year of the Player" (2013) there was about 1 poll per quarter asking players what they actually wanted.

What I would like to see for 2014 is the launch of
RS2 runescape 2012 or whatever you want to call it servers.
basically pre EOCrap

I like the idea of oldschool servers but they're just too primitive for me, I want all the improvements added since then. Some are great, lots suck but I can ignore the sucky ones like dung by not doing them.

EOC killed the game, all my friends no longer play and I havent gone PvM since then. God wars used to be fun.
I'm rapidly racking up gold and theres no reason to buy anything anymore.

I would pay extra to play RS2/RS2012 just give me the combat style we all liked and not a button basher where I can only fight monsters by mashing the keyboard like a ******. derrr derrr derrr im playing runescape *mashes keyboard with palm/face/cat*

Good or bad I want all the other updates but when you nerf the core of the game what do you think will happen.... people leave

only good thing about the lack of updates now is i guess i'll get the max and comp capes before too long which is cool.

Well, I know that I can't ask for the moon. So instead could I please have a RuneScape without buyable spins on the Squeal of Fortune?
It would be a significant gesture of goodwill toward the players, and a sign that you haven't forgotten who you are, who we are, and what this game used to mean to people. Most of all it would show that you truly are in touch with the community, a statement that you have made loudly, and often, but have still not been able to backup. And now I'm just going to start making random noises, because seriously, who's still reading this, who has the time to read all them fancy letter word marks? *Squonk, boink, rang-er-rang, bloop-bloop, niener-niener, D'oh!"

People seem somewhat disgruntled by EoC,
personally I have no opinion, but you may want
to do something about that.

If 2014 is truly about "us" then let "us" vote on the EoC's removal. It's been over a year and has killed the game for many of us. If it can't pass a popular vote after a year of being implemented it should just be removed. Give the players what they want.

Jagex is doing a great job.

- im really glad with all the new quests.
- the events are fun (after a while ^^) the last 2 weeks of Battle of Lumbridge were epic with al those stupid creatures xD.
- Bonds is helping, i dont really use them myself but i see the benefits.
- Divination is acctually pretty cool if you look at weaving but i think it will rock with inventing
- the new armour and weapons are also cool.
- the storyline is really exciting (quests lol, second metion^^).
- all the reworking looks great.
- runescape 3 is awesome
- super september was a good distraction

and then okay:
- sof: okay, whatever, i'll use it, but dont throw so much updates on it, its just to much
- Salomon Store: i like the stuff on it, but you do to much with it, put your effort more in content please**** has some fun stuff yes, but this and last year had to much updates from it. please slow it MUCH down.

And this is for the eoc haters :P :

a thing: pre eoc around 70k online all the time(after botany bay so bots were almost gone and stuff). so 70k right? yeah OK :) . well eoc comes, alot of people complaining about it like nooooo! and it looked like everybody hated it. but people mostly only open their mouth if there is something to complain. so yeah: it LOOKS like majority hates it but nooo... after release 50k are all the time around, so yeah just dropped 20k.. its alot, but not a majority, the majority likes it. still there are people playing who do not like it, ofcourse, but thats 5k or what? AND on top off that jagex can release way more epic **** with the new combat ****. what i do agree is that pvp is a bit toxicated by eoc so something to work on that. and you don't really so people so often saying they like it because.. human open their mouth if they want to say something negative mostly ;) .

So lets keep EoC in the game, Jagex keep going with the good work! en slow down SoF en SS.

I an pleased to be apart of a game with a staff that will take the time at the end of the year to recap, give thanks to its followers and do it with a amount of emotion that really hits the heart.
Ive read ever word and I to think those are some of the great highlights of 2013. there were some failures like the Summoning update not to long ago that was undone. we learn. we grow. we move on.
on a community stand point. I to feel it has gotten stronger since the number of bots and Gp farmers have dropped.
ive been apart of this community for years, a few days each week after work and have seen people come and go. In game there are 2 that have been good friends of mine and given up their game time and efforts to help me out when I truly needed it. I have hopes in winning a Black santa hat in this holiday cracker event and selling it so that I can split the money between them both. I know the money would be of great help to all the others they help.
This here has the greats collective community of any MMO game even the flolks at blizzard can not top the community bonds that tie us here.

You have given Thanks to us. Now allow me to give thanks to all. with out you none of it would be here. many of us would not have made some gaming friends as well as some Real Life friends, who we didn't know were fellow Runescapers right here in our home town communities. So Thank you for it all.
SO Long 2013. . . Now lets all work together to make the new year even better.
