I hope this big announcement is a drastic change to eoc, not only for pkers but for new players that find it extremely hard to learn the basics of the game.

Since the start of its creation, Runescape was a game renowned for its simplicity and I think that was what made it so attractive to many young players.

My opinion on eoc is that it would be great if it was modified to what we want, and since 2014 is controlled by 'the players', why not create a poll similar to that of what is on 07rs?

I have been playing this game for a long time - nearly 7 years - and although these decent updates such as new bosses and quests are being introduced, I feel they are being burdened with eoc and the complicated mechanics they entail, particularly, as I've mentioned previously, for young players that enjoy playing a simple game that is enjoyable without spending countless hours learning how to play.

One thing I also have to mention is that I feel Runescapes combat is being increasingly similar to other popular multiplayer games which I can't and won't mention here. I believe the game needs to be unique for it to thrive like it once did, and it certainly isn't happening regarding combat.

Other than that, great work from all of the mods and I wish you all a MERRY CHRISTMAS!

If that was true I bet we wouldn't of dropped down to an average of 40,000 people online. You messed up Jagex, and you have a small amount of time to fix it. Just revert to the old combat system and you would get so many new players. There are over 20,000 people that pay MONEY to play a game that you made 7 YEARS a go. Just because of the combat system on it. Bring back the game we loved

Merry Christmas Jagex! Thank you guys so much for all your hard work- I know we can be a tough crowd to please sometimes. :P I really do believe Runescape has grown in a good way this year, and I'm grateful that my all-time favorite game is supported by such a passionate and talented group of people.

Next year how bout you limit the microtransaction promotions to one a month, and increase the quests to that same amount....

We need more player-controlled content, with 07-style polls, meaningful lore events (read: DO NOT KILL OFF MAJOR CHARACTERS BEFORE WE GET A CHANCE TO HEAR THEIR FULL STORY), and generally more CONTENT other than daily/weekly D&D's, which we were flooded with this year. I'm just a man; I'm not a hero.
