Devs and players working together: this is what we meant by "Made by You".
Runefest is coming up, the perfect time to enlist the feedback and thoughts of those females attending for what "we" would like to do in Gielinor. Why not ask us?
I contend that Runescape is not very female friendly. Given a choise, we would rather select a class that nurtures life, rather than a constant butchering of it. It is more appealing to be part of a group in a strong support role, not out front getting the pants beat off us.
We all know who recoils at the word "Class", but read on.
Healer class: very popular amoung females as it is a much less violent way to participate in the game in an important role that is usually much appreciated by the players. Besides, does it make sense that simply walking into a bank heals you up instantly? "Hold on a second, I've gotta stuff my belly with this lobster!", doesn't make much sense either. Most of us try to watch our weight, why encourage binge eating?
Cleric class: most women are very attuned to the 'spiritual' side of things. Having a devout Nun in a group can be very useful for dealing with spirits, demons, angels, undead, blessings and curses, summoned creatures and monsters, exorcisims, incense burning, diety requests and interventions, etc. While not as immediately useful as a Healer, a Cleric can be indispenible! For example…
A low level cleric can "feel" the presence of a fallen player in an area.
A mid level cleric can "see" the ghost (but not speak to) of a fallen player in an area.
A high level cleric can both "see and speak with" the ghost of a fallen player.
Once a player's body is located, time to step aside and let the Healers do their thing.
This, of course, means giving Death some real "teeth" rather than a "gumming".
I've still no idea exactly "what" Divination is supposed to do.
Why does a hand-thrown water balloon have TWICE the range of my best bow?!?
