You say prestige will create no-lifers, but having skills go to 120 with a cape to match will create no-lifers too.

It isn't as 200 mil exists already, it is just not rewarded yet. It only matters in the hiscores.

So technically the no-lifing doesn't increase, the people that got 200 mil in a skill will be finally recognised.

just because they said they'd take into account how the high-lvl players voted does not mean those votes mean more. for all we know, if most high lvl players say no their votes will mean less. the point is, they didn't say, best not to assume.

If they take high-lvls into account, it does say that their vote means more. If their vote didn't mean more, they wouldn't even need to look to everyone's stats. That's the basic definition of a fair vote.

It is like releasing a referendum for a wealth tax and mostly taking into account what the rich people say...

Jagex and democracy, it is still an odd combination.

The 200mil no-lifers already exist right now.

Now, some are saying the 120 skill cape come with additional rewards like content to go with the 100 to 120 skills, and advantages to those levels. While your post does not sugest such, adding advantages to level 120 skills would turn off new people from playing the game.

And if 120 levels came out, there would be alot of people saying "give us the stuff that comes with these levels." and would destroy the game in a few years cause nobody would want to think of spending 5 to 10 years just to be on a even playing field as others.

Prestige, even though it would no-lifing for some, going for prestige lvl 3 or 4, for others, it would still allow causual play.

Right now, you can get a max/completion cape in 3 years to 5 years, depending on how you play the game.

That is 400k exp a day, with 3 years, and 230k exp a day in five years.

that is easily possible considering the bonus exp and faster exp rates nowadays.

So a person could still casually play right now and get a max cape or completion cape in 3 to 5 years.

120 capes with advantages would take 2.5 mil exp a day for 3 years, and 1.5 mil exp a day for 5 years. something that new people no lifing might be able to do.

that means no casual players will start playing the game and if no new players play a game and old players leave the game, the game dies.

with prestige, for prestige lvl 1, you could still get that in 3 to 5 years, with the items unlocked the first time going for max cape or completion cape, which mod jack said you would still be able to use, like the barbarian horn and all the other neat stuff like extra charms collected while getting 99 slayer and the new imp that automatically collects charms.

No our votes don't mean anything, when this thread reached 20 pages our posts don't mean anything so don't bother it too much. Jagex simply doesn't care, no matter how many "Years of the Players" will come, it is merely a delusion that our opinion matters. If some RSers reach adulthood they will understand, you get confronted everyday with people promising all kinds of things. In this childinfested game, there is barely anyone who can see through the lies.

Now sthu about the trolling and stay on topic.

I believe the prestige system does give advantages over time...

I don't understand something, it is very clear that reaching the top tier of prestige will take a lot more xp than the current 200 mil. As you reset your lvls, you will need to use the lower lvl methods to regain all the xp back to 99. So basically it is more xp and will take more time than raising the lvl cap.

Way to go to destroy your own argumentation...

and only those playing the game for 50 years would reach that top tier. and you learn how to level those lower levels faster each time.

also there is a level cap, 99 at a certain prestige will always take 200 mil total in the skill to obtain 99. not sure how this works, but maybe on prestige 9 or so, you start out with lvl 50 in the skill?

The only people I ever remember wanting to reset their skills were people with pures that messed up and got a level in a skill that they didn't want to raise.
