Attention disgruntled players:
Those who have been displeased by this update, please look back a page or two, a player suggests to contact billing support via message center. This is HIGHLY helpful.
I got an answer within 10 minutes of submission, and a Mod was very kind enough to reimburse me with the equal runecoins to get my promos back. I highly suggest this, in hopes and reassurance that the Mods will help you as well as they have for me.
On an additional note, thank you Jagex for coming up with a solution. It wasn't directly how we expected, but at least you're doing something.
EDIT:
I was asked a few times ingame how to go to billing support, so for those who aren't sure:
From the top-right of any RuneScape page, you will see the -Support- word-link. Scroll over it for a drop-down, and look for Billing Support.
When you arrive at the next screen, look for the line that says
-Choose from the options below or click here to contact us-
It should be right after the big box of text labled
-Known Issues and Customer Service Notices-
Click -Here- in the line I mentioned, and follow the form accordingly, and submit NICELY to them. No need to get upset, they will indeed help you. Let them know that you have some of the promos, and they will give you back what you deserve.

Surprise, surprise. Looks like Lance Tarnia is just giving us false hope.
Turns out they really don't care. We own the items but we won't get the superior versions. I can't even change the color of my keepsaked Flaming Skull which I've asked before as to whether they will make it changeable. I'll be honest I would kind of love to get a refund on my premium gold and game cards that I've bought just to get these items.

Items in Solomon's Store have to be purchased separately. However, you won't have to pay "again" for any items that appear in the storee you already have.

You really wanna be seen like this?
Yeah im not gonna quit over this, sure. But it's your choice how you want to be seen by the long time loyals.... no matter what garbage announcement MMG makes about easing up on the whole SoF and SGS thing, which this latest stunt totally contradicts!
Just saying...
*cough* greedy cheap pigs can't even come up with new content for overrides, gotta recycle crap that ppl already paid fro making them pay fro it again *cough*
For real, this promotion should have been exclusive only to those who already own the items in-game!
I look forward toi so much jagex has planned this year...
