That is pretty nice for those who have missed the opportunities to get the items.
Please note, guys, that they have said since the beginning that there was always a possibility of the Game Card items being re-released in future promotions.

While it would be nice to let current item owners convert them into the cosmetic overrides, I personally don't really mind because I prefer seeing my gear when I wear it in battle (Except for my cape; skillcapes are hideous with most gear.)
But there are others who would want the cosmetic overrides.

It should NOT be hard to let those who have the items have the cosmetic overrides. After all, if Diango can keep track of who has the items, surely it should be possible to have Solomon's store keep track of it?

Either that, or have Solomon's store sell the item versions instead of cosmetic overrides. I get moody during that time of the month. You know, with the full moon and all.

Um, no. They're not putting partyhats (or any other tradeable item) in SGS. They're still obtainable in-game if you save up your GP and would completely devalue them. They already know how bad of an idea /that/ is.

The only reasonable ones (even though they shouldn't) with the logic of that Jmod would be retired, non-tradeable holiday items - like bunny ears, scythes, candy cane, christmas wand, all of that. Those items should be exclusive to those who played then and did the holiday events and gatherings. If you didn't get them, tough luck, (I didn't either but I sympathize with those who feel like they would be ripped off). You can live without them and it'd just upset those thousands of people the way it did with this.

And you guys should get compensation for your card 'exclusives'. 99% of these 28 pages of posts are hate and complaints. Don't buy their promo cards anymore, it's a sham. Rest easy knowing that none of these people will be buying them as well. ;) They messed up big this time.

Upsetting thousands of people apparently is not a consideration in the release of a RS update. It's "WHO" you upset that is important. Players are on the bottom of the list of who "not to" upset, that much is obvious.

pretty sure you were on board earlier mints, real life money is more valuable then your runescape gold, and having owned thousands of tradeable rares i wouldnt care, ive had years to enjoy being ahead of the pack

TOTALLY irks me that I am on the loyalty rate BUT to get those items I had to pay min of 7.50 more JUST to get those items as a bonus for using the game cards instead of the loyalty rate , and NOW your telling me ANYONE can get from solomons, I guess all of us that paid for the game cards just got screwed ~ AGAIN!

Word of advice, NEVER WASTE MONEY ON GAME CARDS! (eventually you can get from solomons).

I have no qualms about this, except a refund should be given to those who used the keepsake box to override the items listed above, and all the items should be made as an override.

It was also a bit of a dodgy move to put 'premium' items on the SOS. Thus relinquishing their premium status and inflicting buyers remorse on all those who bought the membership cards in game to obtain the items (which also aren't override version).
