Just because it can be done with a dragon keepsake box from the SGS doesn't mean Jagex can turn all the items into cosmetic overrides and if they did I'm sure people will still complain that they want the actual item, having the item and having a cosmetic override isn't possible. Which is why you lose the item when you convert it to an override with a dragon keepsake box.

The only way Jagex could turn items into overrides is with the Dragon Keepsake boxes. Which is why they released them. There was no other way for them to do so.

Bullmanure, pure bullmanure.
Of course its possible, the reason you temporarily loose the item when you turn it into a keepsake is so people can't make cosmetics of partyhats and then sell the original item while still keeping it as a cosmetic, thus in a sense creating an infinite supply of cosmetic partyhats. O_o

so basically everybody that bought the premium membership got screwed

. we should get the items for free and some free bank space and some other exclusive item not something you will release 4 months down the road. i definitely will not be doing the premium membership again it's not worth it. you know some of us like them Rare item even if they ain't expensive. ^_^

I'm sure there's more people that want these items as overrides than inventory items, they're all mainly cosmetic anyway or low level stuff like the barbed bow. I personally want my items as overrides but i'm not paying for them AGAIN or paying for the keepsake box's. I already wasted money on the keepsake for my flaming skull and can't change the color unless I pay for more keepsakes. And it wouldn't be impossible to have the actual item and override at the same time, it would just be impractical.

As much as i love this game i do think jagex is taking the wrong path when it comes to making profit. Many other mmo's have went downhill pretty quickly after doing stupid stuff like this. I support the sgs and sof but when you start to milk every penny out of 1 item your gonna **** a lot of people off like your'e doing right now. Don't be like the rest of em Jagex you're better than that.

Pretty silly idea. Why not re-release the squeal items that were seasonal/temporary that people couldn't get due to timing/bad luck? (Monkey items/Mad May gear/etc.)?

And I agree with everybody that the Cosmetic overrides should be free to those that already own the physical item.

Just waiting for the Discontinued item overrides...

I bought the premier package, but really am not concerned about these items being purchasable from Solomon's store.

I have had the advantage of the cheaper membership, 2k of Runecoins and daily extra squeal of fortune ticket and never liked the majority of the extras that came with the package anyway. (Flaming skull = Green mile film in my mind.. eww)

As so few of the old items are now in game (e.g. the Yo-Yo, Bunny ears etc) I would like to see those as an addition to either the Squeal of Fortune or Solomon's store if this is possible please?

Easter would be such a lovely time to get some bunny ears.
