Sometimes I wonder why loyal never make Pmod or anything, then I remember because the loyal get sooooooooooo stuffed over that our views don't align with Jagex's and that becomes a handicap for us

ALSO, I will add to Mod Drebin's post about 'if it is not even possible'

In the FAQ in this forum it states:
"Can I use existing cosmetic items inside the new Customisation System?

Unfortunately not. The Customisation System is a new feature which needs the items to be built specifically for it, so old items cannot be imported."

- And we have Keepsake keys which prove this was a blatant lie to stop people asking for loyalty shop stuff moving over to SGS. That's REALLY a ton of coding for all the items that can be keepsaked isn't it?

Of course it was a lie, they already have systems in the game to check if you have the flaming skull. Go destroy your flaming skull, it will appear in diango's promotional items on Retrieve, go to the wise old man and he can check your bank for every item for junk items, go to any type of quest npc who needs an item and asks you for it, it comes from your inventory, OF COURSE it's already in place.

After studying European law for 3 years, I can tell you no lawsuit can be filled in under any condition because of this update. Jagex Studios Ltd are free to update the game however they see fit. They could put Party Hats on the SGS for free if they wanted too, and you couldn't file a lawsuit for that, although that's a comparable situation. You should also read the T&C for both the membership cards and playing the game. I believe it also says on the membership cards that all items included in the package may be re released.

The fact that it was a "Limited time only" and a "Premium" offer also hold no grounds in a court of law. The items are Jagex's own legal property and they can do what they like with it. The only time you could claim, is if Jagex removed the items from the game after your purchase. In which case they would have to offer a full refund for the Membership card, but they would also revoke a months membership from your account.

Basically you can't sue a company over buyers remorse which is basically what people are claiming. Purchasing one thing, which then becomes available at a better price or at an increased quality, is no grounds to file a lawsuit.

Still, I don't agree with this update, and I feel bad for those who used a dragon keepsake box to override the items just added. I wish my skull was an override too. I think they could make the items an override for everyone, but it's too much trouble for them to bother doing. Oh wellz.

All you guys are missing a very important point...

Right from the beginning... right from the moment the Customisation feature was released, we should never have been paying for any override which is an actual in-game cosmetic item, let alone pay for one we have already paid for.

The only overrides we should be made to pay for are Combat items via Keepsake boxes (items with stats and/or set effects), weapon/armor skin types and exclusive SGS stuff which are not actual in-game items.

I've been saying this for ages. I've been trying to tell the community that we are getting ripped off. If we had all voiced this kind of distaste a lot earlier they may have thought twice about trying to pull this latest low down sleazy stunt on us.

ALL.. and I mean ALL non-cbt cosmetic in-game items should be available as a FREE override in the Customisation interface!

ALL OF THEM!!!

I can see where you are coming from and although it would be nice if all cosmetic items are free (Because they are solely cosmetic) but that is not a good business plan from Jagex's perspective the content on the SGS costs money to Produce and then giving it away for free isn't an effective way of keeping your game alive.

You also have to remember that the people at Jagex Studios need paying and recent and upcoming updates have been and will be very expensive, everything they make from the SoF and SGS all gets put back into the game via graphical, sound and content updates.

Many MMO games use this cosmetic override system as an effective way to generate money and I have no qualms with Jagex for including it, I personally have wished for a cosmetic override system in Runescape for a very long time. (Mainly just for a way of hiding the helmet slot).

But it is naive to believe you're entitled to them for free simply because they are cosmetic. It's similar to saying everyone should be given free Party Hats because they are cosmetic.

You are taking their word for it? Pfft!

Their annual turnovers are in the multi millions from membership alone!!! Do I need mention advertising?

And I'm not saying all exclusive SGS cosmetics be free...

ALL IN-GAME NON-COMBAT, COSMETIC ITEMS WITH ZERO(0) STATS SHOULD BE AVAILABLE AS A FREE OVERRIDE SKIN IN THE CUSTOMISATION INTERFACE!

This means if you can store it in your bank and withdraw it from your bank, and it has absolutely no use in combat situations, it should be a free override skin...

NO PURCHASE NEEDED EXCEPT FOR THAT WHICH WE HAVE ALREADY MADE AS A MEMBER!!!!

Shove your damn Keepsake boxes, Jagex! At the expense of less than 1% of your annual turnovers, you can shove it!
