Try to remember these items have been out for a fair old length of time; if you have the equippable versions from their initial release then you've had all that time to look elite and well ahead of the pack.
As far as giving out free overrides to those who already possess the originals - its a nice idea but I'm not sure how complicated that process would be or if it's even possible. I'll note it down though**

wow buy premier club membership only for the 2nd hand cosmo exclusives to be released in solomons, whats next the paladin over ride as well? at this rate just re-release party hats, santa hats, h'ween mask and every other past holiday item as an over ride in solomons as well.
want to use some cleets next time you kick your self in the -butt-? yay great idea to apease everyone but you betrayed those that had their own uniqueness
I think you missed the Dark Version of the paladin outfit that they marketed shortly after the premier pack. I was ****** as it was the exact same but with dark lines.
I have every single shadow item but was slightly ****** because I spent some hard earned real life money to buy the gold premier membership only to have that happen (where are those betas Jagex was talking about?)

I've already addressed my concerns with the overrides. As for the game card... well let's see: $22.50 for a 3 month card with a free cosmetic item, versus $21.95 for a 3 month package and no item. You remind me of a typical encounter in customer service. Getting THIS indignant over 55 cents certainly isn't going to help. Especially when the superior item costs a few times more than that anyway (shocking I know).
One more thing, PLENTY of people here are whining about how they bought the gold membership for the items, but then it's not like you checked any posts after page three anyway.

Here's my post again in case you want to read it, hell if you even read the first sentence of my post you'd know why I was mad!
"I didn't buy the Gold Premier Package, i'm mad too. Know' why? Because I bought it when it was in its' first limited edition sale."
The point of the matter is they promised us limited edition items or, better yet exclusive, they powdered these things so heavily to made us think that there wouldn't be another chance to get these. They use manipulative marketing tactics which in honestly is just completely wrong and I'm not supporting of them. You acclaimed to us being mad over cost, where that may be hard to understand as how ambiguous we so desperately try to say things like 'limited edition' and 'exclusive'. /scarcasm

Really, "if it's even possible"? I'm sure your tech team could figure out how to run a check for which players have the items stored in Diango or in their bank, then simply give those players free vouchers for the cosmetic overrides in the store. Doesn't sound that impossible to me. Please do this...
I'm really upset & disappointed like the majority of people who've already posted on this thread. I feel lied to and cheated into buying the Premier Gold Membership with these items listed as exclusive, thinking it'd be the last chance I could get them. And now some are available permanently as BETTER cosmetic overrides which I would have to PAY for AGAIN (the full amount) in order to get? Can't even imagine how the people who obtained these items through the gamecard promotions feel... They got doubly slapped in the face.
PLEASE look into compromising for those who already obtained these items. I'd really love to have cosmetic override versions, but I will not pay even more again just for that feature when I already have the items rotting in storage.
EDIT: Just had another thing to add: Another option to compromise would be modifying the item itself to have the ability to convert it into the customization interface (through a right-click menu, perhaps?). I'm sure you guys are already working on how to do this, considering a similar process would have to be done to add any in-game pets into the interface (which you promised months ago). Obviously it's already possible to unlock an override in-game as was proven during the recent Tribute to Guthix event, where we just clicked a button and the Sword of Edicts was unlocked. I'm not falling for this 'sounds too complicated' bull poop.
