Seriously Jagex!?
I hope that this is a
free game
, otherwise your the most
money-hungry company that I've ever seen.
Then again, I haven't seen very many companies like this. I'm just appalled at this.
Advertising is one thing if its in a side ribbon, like most websites do it, but putting it in the main newsfeed? That's just sad.
The
talent
at
J

should be put into making RS and Old School better for the player, and more agreed to the players.

If I weren't so addicted to this game I would quit.
Thanks for reading!

Did you even read the post? Yes, it is free. Want to take that reply back now?

And Jagex certainly isn't the only business that promotes their other products on another product. That is the whole point of advertising. Pretty much every company in existence does this. But Jagex is the only one that gets hate for it.

I didn't read it carefully, no, because I was distracted with other things. I guess I missed the price. The rest of my statement still stands though.

As for your other remark, name another mainstream website that does this. I've never seen any advertisements in a main newsfeed of any website that has a separate source of income. So as far as I'm concerned, Jagex is the only one that does this.

Q. Who you think own RuneScape?

A. Jagex (Scroll down)

It's their site and they can advertise their game.

No derp it's up to them how they handle things. What they should know is that it's disgusting; and all failing game developers have headed down the very same path to end up as some one-trick pony that does nothing but put game ads in one game, then follow up putting ads for that second game back into the first.

All those game developers for hit titles on mobile platforms? As they progress and begin to do things such as these; they do indeed get more money. (Which; as a business, does make sense.) However they don't get more money from paid game downloads. They get less of that. They get their revenue from there on out from IAPs. Less attention is given to quality updates/additions/game themes. In fact - less attention is given to the game at all. Once they establish a well oiled IAP system, they're good to lounge back and enjoy the disgusting dollars rolling in.

It doesn't matter whether or not it's Jagex being able to do what they please to do. It's the fact they will do it; and without proper retaliation from people saying it's downright unnecessary, they will continue to do so.

And your carefree attitude makes me question why you're willing to fork money over in their direction and let them do as you please. Hope you enjoy a future of RuneScape where there is no more properly tended to game - merely redirects to some other bunk game to get an experience lamp or piece of equipment in RuneScape.

Looks like the coffee breaks at jagex have yielded results. I can see how they have spare people to make this as different parts of a content of runescape (Code, Art, Sound, Animation, Testing) get finished at different times so they have people do other stuff while the rest of the team finish the content instead of having them start right away on the next content.

Someone who gets it! If they did immediately go into a new runescape project then things can get messy as one team will keep finishing long before another team. A system is obviously there that gets content into the game and if there are some side things like this racing game then fine by me.

Quit complaining and work on being the better person by accepting the fact that they can do what they want and we are customers paying them to make games that some will enjoy or hate.
Chillin to that DnB

I don't get the hate, I have been playing this game on f******k for a while now, and it's pretty good for a browser based driving game.

As for those moaning about this taking away from Runescape updates, urm, the game was developed by the Jagex team out in Los Angeles, America, so would of had no effect on the development of Runescape.

Also to those complaining about it been advertised on the Runescape homepage, why would you not advertise it there? It's a project by one of their studios, the homepage gets tons of hits daily and oh yh, it's their website to do with what they wish.

I will agree though that it should of been released on other mobile platforms also, although I won't pretend that I understand the implications of doing such a thing.

To wrap things up, some of you need to grow up and stop getting riled up over stupid little things. This has no effect on your life what so ever, so why so much rage?

TL;DR: Grow up, stop raging, do research before you hit your keyboard and hey, maybe try the game before automatically judging it.

In my case I'm not implying it takes away from RuneScape. In fact, it's obvious to see two separate studios in two separate locations not working on the same game having any true effect on one another.

When they start doing this here though; they're meshing the stupidity in LA with the stupidity in the UK.

And in fact; it does have effect on my life. In my eyes the last thing I'd want to see for this game is for it to go down the hole because of over development of tiny games leading to mass advertisement in every possible crevice of every possible game they'll make from now until their collapse.

Me and the membership I've contributed towards them to help fuel their transformation into something with a noteworthy name over the past decade - in fact - does involve, and directly effect me.

The only way I personally see fit this game dies is because of lack of (cont.)
