So you're saying you've never had to cancel any plans with someone, or push back an event because of something that happened that made it unable for you to update it? And good, I'm glad you realize you're in the wrong.


No, I've sold stuff before. I sold one person an item that got lost in the mail. Totally out of my control, the post office messed up, and they admitted it. **** happens. But, I still couldn't deliver my end of the deal, and it would have been obnoxious for me to say, "Hey, I know I couldn't get you that thing you ordered, but why not buy other stuff from me now?"
It's basic customer service.

Lol? It has everything to do with what you just stated. If a delay or cancellation has to happen, that's understandable. Upsetting, but understandable. However, until you can deliver on what you had sold (in this case a Loyalty Merger scheduled for August 27th before delays), don't try to sell me something else. It's rude.

The point I was making, which you seem not to have grasped, is that Jagex does not owe you anything beyond the ability to play the game which you pay for. This includes not owing you meeting deadlines which they set. They can promise you RS4 due tomorrow and then change their mind if they want to. Because they are in no way obliged to fulfill that contract. The contract you have with Jagex is to play the game which they offer. The contract does not say that if they say one thing, they absolutely 100% must follow through with it.

And there is no reason for them to postpone another of their updates (this SoF one), just because they postponed the Solomon/Loyalty merge.

Good businesses don't need to fall back on "It's not stated in the contract, therefore I don't have to do it."
