Or Jagex could just get their stuff together for once, but that's probably asking a lot honestly. Also, yes, we pay for membership to properly play the game, to the ding bat from the previous page and anyone else who thinks this in all honesty. I damn well expect updates, not every week, but I expect a game I pay for with my money to be up to date and at the very least entertaining to some extent. Though with Runescape, that's been a rather far-fetched idea for me personally as well as many other players.

Actually, that reply was probably the stupidest thing anyone has ever read. If you doubt that you are only purchasing membership, then I feel sorry for you. You get updates with the money you use to buy membership, but all you are buying is, in fact, membership. I'm sorry if that disappoints you, but I don't control what is true or not, and neither do you. As costumers, we are entitled to membership access and nothing more. We get updates because it keeps people buying the membership.
You obviously have no idea what you are buying when you order membership, so I suggest that you learn about that first.
