Chrome won't let me use Java because it's only a 32-bit browser. How is this going to be a good addition for RS3??

To use Java with Chrome you need to install 32-bit Java. The one you have is either 64-bit or none.

@ K1ndus11 Well ok, two weeks max but, certainly not months after any release - if it takes months and months to resolve problems after a 'live' release then it suggests major flaws and implies that it should never have been released in the first place.

Addiction is a different problem, those afflicted should seek out a rehabilitation clinic for the appropriate help.

Now, from your own example, Blizzard issued game credits, this is generally understood as a part of customer service especially when a business fails to provide quality goods or services.

So, due to the rocky ride of the past several months, Jagex should issue game credits, runecoins, spins or whatever else to compensate everyone for the inconveniences experienced due to Jagex's flawed products - in other words, it is a token of good faith that shows the customer that the company actually cares.

At the end of the day, if they simply continue to release garbage and expect people to pay for such flawed products, it is likely that such a company would go out of business.

While these upcoming releases look good, I have some doubt about their ability to release quality 'live' products.

Jagex, you are rushing out an update that isn't ready. RS3 is still really buggy, loads incredibly slow, and crashes very often. I'm not trying to sound pessimistic -- I'm just looking at the reality of the game as it exists right now.

I have an Nvidia GeForce 660 GTX video card, which gets 45-60 FPS on games like Skyrim, Borderlands 2, and Far Cry 3. I don't break 20 with RS settings on high using features like antialiasing. Are you telling me that the graphics and mechanics of RS3 are somehow more complicated than those games?

You rushed EoC out before it was ready, although I'm not here to complain about that since I really do like EoC, but since the release there have been at least two MAJOR reworks of the combat system. That isn't supposed to happen in a 'live' game. That's what betas are intended for.

I urge you not to make the same mistake with HTML5 RS. There are still many issues to deal with before going live. Limiting gameplay to one browser that many have concerns about privacy (Chrome) is shooting yourself in the foot. Releasing a version that still unstable and frequently crashes will cause people to never do anything risky on the game.

Please stop thinking so short-term.

^^this^^

Please use the beta to actually work out the bugs *before* releasing RS3. You know... what betas are for. If you have to postpone launch because gosh, no one can get high enough FPS to play, then that's the better move, don't you think?
