With all due respect, Jagex, your RS3 seems rather dubious.

First, I have noted in your FAQ that you will continue to describe RS3 as 'beta' for several months.

Second, I am not inclined to install Google Chrome.

Third, quite frankly, Jagex, you folks have a rather notorious track record of releasing half-baked, unpolished and unprofessional products.

So, while I appreciate your attempts to make the game better, I sincerely doubt the quality of your RS3.

Sure, perhaps one day it will be awesome, however, I am a paying customer in the here and now - and, I do not enjoy bug burdened games.

Besides, when will that day of awesomeness arrive?

Jagex, I've observed several severe issues that you have presently neglected to address for months, so for these reasons, I doubt that you have adequately prepared RS3 for 'live' release - consequently, this is perhaps your reason to release it as still in a 'beta' phase.

So, I appreciate some people's hype about RS3, however, I doubt it is ready to go 'live.'

Anyway, good luck, I sincerely hope your product is not dead on arrival.

They don't reset your skills, Isis. They made members' skills available to f2p up to level 5.

So if you resubscribe, you'll get your Fletching level back. It only shows up as 5 on a free world, because you can now use Fletching on a free world up to level 5.

Sadly, RS3 is being horrendously rushed. I still can't even load HTML5 because whenever I try, I get hit with an infinite loading "circle" at the initial Runescape logo (with the sword through it). EoC was less rushed than this thing, and I could at least play it(let's be honest; EoC was rushed a bit, considering all the "fixes and changes" they've added since launching it).

I personally think the fact that the game is so far only going onto chrome is going to work out like how people on Xbox get the maps for Call of Duty before people on ps3. Basically Google pays Jagex to have the game before any other browser.. perhaps ?

The new skills, story events, and audio updates have me excited - but like many other peeps I feel like the HTML 5 game simply isn't ready. While there have been improvements, there's still significant loading and fps issues, even for higher end machines like mine. And, somehow, I don't think those issues will be resolved in time for the launch.

Will likely end up playing via Java until HTML 5 receives further optimization post launch. Still, looking forward to cracking out the NiS and participating in upcoming content.

Not gonna lie, I have my doubts. Why? Mainly from the experience with the whole EoC thing.

Basically a lot of players had nothing but negative to say, but you did it anyways. Somehow RS has lived to see a day past that, so congrats. I think. I will admit that this point is pretty much invalid, however, because I have not seen much negative commentary about RS3 itself, only the lack of time and effort you put into creating and testing it.

With the EoC, the BETA was extremely short lived for such a game-changing event. I feel that the same thing has happened here. With my experiences, JAG locked me out every single time I attempted the RS3 BETA, so I'm not sure if it will work properly.

Another one of my doubts is the new interface. I'm a bit used to the old one. Maybe you've already added one, but the option to keep the classic interface would be pretty awesome for some of your more stubborn players. IT would be a compromise, much as I feel Momentum is a compromise.

Other than all that, I have hopes for RS3. I am looking forward to some kind of huge war, God vs God, Player vs Player, Monster vs Monster... and everything in-between. The was of course would including not just fighting, but finances, materials, rapidly developing technology...

I almost feel as if RS is taking on some shape that can be seen in the EVE Online games. I feel that would be pretty cool, making a lasting impression on the game's world for all to see.
