@Jezre, you have a fair point.
Still, it is a problem that needs to be fixed.
I do admit though, without us LEGIT players, they wouldn't exist. What bothers me.. is this is all fuelled by RWT... because why hoard gold if people don't buy it.. There must be people out there... Probably not going as fast as the name suggests.
I relish a challenge.

After having seen how Jagex (Mod Mmg) likes to use data like this, I would prefer the truth over a simple 'congratulations' to Jagex. This is historical, and it needs to be represented by the truth. 200m players is not the truth, only that it is representative of how many 'accounts' have been created since the launch of RS.
If I congratulate Jagex for this number, I want to be realistic in not giving false praise for a number that they achieved from other things, not just a fantastic community of players.
Jagex wants to boast a record, they can face the fact that a portion (and a huge portion) of this number represents cheaters and illicit activity. I'm sorry, but I am not about to just swallow this number and say congratulations.

Congratulations you cretins, you have given free membership for the first two weeks thereby allowing bot farmers two weeks free botting and your numbers are going through the roof.
Of the ~196m, how many are members for 2 weeks then not again?
How many have names like "bghg**hg**jk"
How many are 99 in one or two skills only
In other words, how many are legitimate players.
DO NOT CLAIM CREDIT FOR STUPIDITY, it merely shows how utterly disociated you are from the RS community and how low you have sunk.

Care to guess how many of these are bots, already banned , are throw away accounts or gold site spammers? Take those away & I doubt the numbers will be all that impressive.
Sorry if it's cynical but I report a couple dozen every day that PM me & even more spamming in the G.E. That's eliminating at least 30 accounts a day just from what I report ( if they're actually getting banned ).
