This is a press relase from Jagex:
"Cambridge, UK — Friday 1st June 2012 — Hundreds of millions of people around the globe are invited to the world’s biggest virtual Jubilee party in RuneScape.***, the brain-child of British online games company Jagex, to celebrate HM the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. "
Jagex keeps pulling big lies to their current investors and potential ones.
Where are all these "hundreds of millions of people"??????
And ofc, when they log on the RuneScape.***, where the counter says "200 mil PLAYERS" it will just reinforce the lie...
I HOPE that people are smart enough to see through their false marketing!

The 'impression' of a lie, is still a lie. Perhaps Jagex should clear this up, by changing the caption on the Homepage counter from 'Players' to 'Accounts'.
I know that I have lofty ideals, but in reality, I never expect anyone to stand in my shoes, even I can't do that as often as I wish to in this world. But there is plenty of room for Honor, Respect and Integrity. Has Capitalism taught people nothing?
People resent being treated as a number, let alone being used. We are not Jagex's personal piggy bank that can be squeezed for more cash. Hell, even the cheaters are stepping back now and saying "Wtf Jagex?!?!"
Times change, there is no doubt about it. But does every single thing have to change? Will not even one company, take a stand against the capitalization of our enjoyment, our Loyalty?
RuneScape, for the longest time, was that game, and Jagex was that company, that made such a stand. I guess the saying holds true, change comes to us all.
Personally, I can't accept it, I never have, and likely never will.

Changing the caption won't help at all to make it less a lie.
ALL of the servers are down and somehow the counter keeps going up. Can we say SCAM?
GAME IS DOWN YET ACCOUNT CREATION COUNTER GOING UP!
