WHY are you guys already trying to change rs07?

Wasn't OSRS servers originally made to BE LEFT ALONE?

What are you people doing? This isn't what we are paying for.

It is what I'm paying for, actually.

2007 wasn't my ideal choice, it just happened to be the only option Jagex gave us. Many of the people playing these servers would have chosen 2008, 2009, 2010, or 2011 if they'd been given the chance.

You need to shut up and let people give feedback, pls.

Rares were in RS07, they are not currently in OSRS.

'Remove Roofs' was in RS07, it is not currently in OSRS.

F2P PKing was in RS07, it is not currently in OSRS.

The 'press enter to login' is just a fix for a minor annoyance. Same for the private messaging updates.

One click banking, I voted no. Same for grimy herbs.

imo "abstain" isn't needed...u abstain by not voting--so really its already there!

if it turns out we end up with "abstain" option id say go by percentage of the yes/no votes cos they are the ones who are bothered either way. this ofcourse makes having an abstain option obsolete!
Adding abstain botton only counts if you take it into account with votes-and then only fair thing would be to split the abstains and count half as yes half as no. You certainly cant decide to count all Abstain as either no or yes--cos that isnt "abstain".
So, theres no point having it!

Bd

Edit-to some of the comments above.
I do not believe the intention was ever for it to be "left alone"....but if u want it "left alone"--then just vote "no" to everything!

EDIT 2: SCRUB EVERYTHING I SAID ABOVE
Ah! I have just gone to make my votes and have found that i cant leave some without voting yes/no! therefore that changes my views above entirely!!
there is one that I dont care about at all...and one that I dont understand wat its asking fully-so was gunna leave them...but it wont let me.

therefore either there MUST be abstain OR u give ppl option to leave some points not voted on! How can I vote "no/yes" to something i dont understand? I guess ill toss a coin for one i dont really care about!

My issue with the poll was for items like "left click banking". tbh, I really don't care either way. I know some people feel strongly 1 way or the other. I would like an option to not vote for that item... If the poll is only 1 item, this isn't an issue. If the each item was treated as a separate poll this wouldn't be an issue. However, I could not pass a vote for things I feel strongly about without casting a vote on other items. I fear my vote, in such cases, may skew the poll on some items within it.

I would like some form of "passing" a vote on a single item for multi-item polls. I don't want my vote to be "yes" or "no" on that item. Simply out of fairness to others.

I thought that's what abstain would be for... abstaining to vote. Not abstaining the vote. I don't know.

Quoted from Kevill- Post # 4
"Don't forget what you're doing with these polls.
You currently have 100% playing, and generally happy.
You're going to accept votes @ 75% yes which will split
25% of the community off. Maybe they'll just be upset, or mad, but many like myself, will quit.
So now you're down to 75%. But, each different vote will cut off a few more and a few more and a few more people.
So after poll one you're already going to be back in a situation where 50% of the community is all: "All yeaaahh! Yay I'm part of this half and I'm happy!"
and you have the other half of the community that's angry as hell at you, and the OSRS community. Good fight... it's now the EOC community situation that you've been in for many years.
So... yeah.
I suppose if the goal is to widdle off people so that in 6 months, an additional membership fee can be added, then yeah, this will work.
But meh. Oh well."

I disagree. It is impossible for Jagex to add content to the game that will please 100% of the population. People lose sight of the fact that their particular interest sometimes just can't be met because either A.) it just won't work in the game, or B.) It is not something that the majority of the community would enjoy being implemented.

"You currently have 100% playing, and generally happy."

While I do agree the widespread majority of the community playing OSRS is content at this point, it is not 100%, as if you check out the Old School Feedback forum you will see that there are numerous threads containing things people want, or want removed from the current version.

In order for us to truly help Jagex make this game better, the way we(the majority) of the community want it to be, will be;
Participation-Voting in these polls, and giving constructive feedback for Jagex to utilize.
Compromise-Understand that our desires may not be met.
Unity- Sticking together as a community, regardless of difference in opinions or personal preference.

I'm confused as to why there's any opposition to a completely optional thing such as F2P Pk-ing worlds. Why deny the people that want to do it the option to? That really shouldn't even be a poll question. It was part of 07, just like ******uction and BA, both of which were just added without a poll. Team Mystic knows no Bird but the Bird in the North whose name is Artic*no

Also wanted to add that I would prefer to see no abstain option. As Mod Ash stated, and I agree;

" We'd only get into arguments about how to interpret the results."

That being said, I'd also like to thank you Jagex for giving the community the option to participate in polls like this before developing content. Its a great way of showing as that our feedback, and opinions matter :)
