Quoted from Kevill- Post # 4
"Don't forget what you're doing with these polls.
You currently have 100% playing, and generally happy.
You're going to accept votes @ 75% yes which will split
25% of the community off. Maybe they'll just be upset, or mad, but many like myself, will quit.
So now you're down to 75%. But, each different vote will cut off a few more and a few more and a few more people.
So after poll one you're already going to be back in a situation where 50% of the community is all: "All yeaaahh! Yay I'm part of this half and I'm happy!"
and you have the other half of the community that's angry as hell at you, and the OSRS community. Good fight... it's now the EOC community situation that you've been in for many years.
So... yeah.
I suppose if the goal is to widdle off people so that in 6 months, an additional membership fee can be added, then yeah, this will work.
But meh. Oh well."
I disagree. It is impossible for Jagex to add content to the game that will please 100% of the population. People lose sight of the fact that their particular interest sometimes just can't be met because either A.) it just won't work in the game, or B.) It is not something that the majority of the community would enjoy being implemented.
"You currently have 100% playing, and generally happy."
While I do agree the widespread majority of the community playing OSRS is content at this point, it is not 100%, as if you check out the Old School Feedback forum you will see that there are numerous threads containing things people want, or want removed from the current version.
In order for us to truly help Jagex make this game better, the way we(the majority) of the community want it to be, will be;
Participation-Voting in these polls, and giving constructive feedback for Jagex to utilize.
Compromise-Understand that our desires may not be met.
Unity- Sticking together as a community, regardless of difference in opinions or personal preference.
