Exactly. This needs to be taken into account ASAP. I have made a suggestion thread on this. Although my suggestion was to increase the voting requirements.
Ideas!
1. Rotate camera with scroll wheel
2. Profanity filter toggle on/off
3. Bank tabs
4. Bank search option
5. MORE BANK SPACE
6. All F keys are changed to match how they are in EoC
7. Rejoin clan chats automatically
8. Adventurer's log!
9. Withdraw all but one
10. Fix pathfinding
11. XP to next level
12. GWD + Clan Wars (Even though I know you guys will say no
)
13. Castle Wars right click "light" option on barricades if you have a tinderbox
14. Shortened respawn times on Castle Wars Tinderboxes

After reading a couple pages of responses, I've come to a conclusion on how dense and stupid the RS population is.
You have the people who are so skeptical and fearful of EoC that they think any small change will result to that (Really? UI changes are going to be that severe?). And then you have the people that don't read (i.e. - F2P worlds are going to be members' only).
A game like this is going to need updates and changes, otherwise, it'll just eventually rot. Think of it as a caveman perspective: if they never invented anything new, they would still be cavemen; living life with constant hassle and annoyance. Maybe as of right now, since everything is fresh, nothing feels boring or needed yet. But as time progresses, you will want new things; to further progress your character and to keep yourself entertained.
(what's the point of getting 70+ attack if there's no new weapon to wield?)
(what's the point beyond 75+ defense if you don't get any new armour?)
PKing things like only whips will lose it's flavor in due time. I'll bet my life on that.
By the way, not ALL changes post 2007 was a bad one, in fact, I think most people only quit after the release of EoC. Why? Because the combat system is something they like (and that it counter the idea of pures, which a lot of the population dedicated a lot of time into). Personally, I loved RS pre-EoC and wished the backup server was dated then, but yeah.
