Increase the skill total requirement for polls, and continue to increase the requirements to vote in polls as time progresses. Perhaps, play-time is a better measure than skill total.

100 total is achievable in a couple of hours; not enough time to understand the community, feel, dynamics of OSRS.

I am sure veterans and players who have invested lots of time into their account do not want masses of "noobs" running their game and making the decisions.

People who actually play the game consistently and devote true effort into advancing their characters are the only people deserving to influence any future developments.

Since people all have different life situations and play styles, I'm sure we can write a book arguing what "consistently" and "effort" means, but I'd say 3 hours per week that the OSRS has been open (a decent play session, at least once per week) is a reasonable, healthy measure.

So, to summarize, any future polls should require a commitment to the game of 3 hours*the week of the poll.

e.g. A week 4 poll requires 12 hours of play-time; A week 20 poll requires 60 hours of total play-time. Perhaps keep this up for 6 months and call it good. At 6 months, that's only 72 hours. Someone who really wants to vote in the poll can no-life that much from scratch in less time than the poll will be open.

Cheers.

Yeah, I don't know why OSR was implemented as high detail.

I think the F2P PK worlds vote should be overridden. It is very close to 75%, and frankly, I don't think it should have been put to a vote at all.

I have yet to hear a single valid argument against putting in a couple of F2P-style worlds. At worst, people can choose not to use them. Voting against them is spiteful, and not having them means people leave, which hurts us all.

I'm really confused about why over 8,000 people voted no against F2P style worlds..

if you don't like them, don't use them? I don't see the harm in it, and it seems quite selfish to vote no because it isn't your cup to tea to play f2p

I agree f2p worlds should not need a vote people are just voting no because they don't like pking. I would like to hear a valid reason why they shouldn't be added. They won't hurt the game at all and if anything will make less people play if they are not added.

Personally, I think that things like tab to reply should be a 75%, but more major things (none come to mind personally) should have an 80-85%. as the few shouldn't be forgotten in such things and when it comes to larger changes, something that the majority might like a moderate amount, could ruin the game entirely for someone who didn't want it.

Lol @ the 10% who vote against everything no matter what it is. Something's gotta be missing upstairs to think like that.

Anyways, I'd appreciate if there was a poll question next week asking "Do you think that regular mass disconnects and enormous amounts of server lag should remain as part of the 07 experience?"

Also maybe a question asking "Do you want over or under 25% of clicks to register?" would be nice.

Are you insane, lol?

If anything, the requirements should be lowered. You have to consider the fact that with EVERY poll there will consistently be at least several thousand people who vote stupidly simply because they want to annoy others.

60% should suffice IMO.
