I personally will not be playing it because I want the main game as it is now, but hopefully this will appease the ones that one a old school scape. I think its a good idea as long as it doesnt hinder the updates and performance of the main game.

Im so sick of you people who cry about starting over, Yeah lets go 100 000 people into 2007 with maxed cash stacks and maxed stats all of us, no ******* way that would be like a private server so stop ***** about it and get over it and vote for 2007. nuf said

Jagex can you please also reopen classic again? I don't see why you should close such an awesome part of runescape. i've been playing rs2 since 2004. I was very young and had no idea about runescape classic. I would even pay more for membership just to play classic as well. If a Jmod can get back to me, would mean a lot.

Jagex.. don't do this please. People won't miss the old RuneScape after playing this for a while and will miss the live game and get bored of the 2007 server because of no new content, It's a waste of time and no one would want to start from scratch anyways. Look at RuneScape Classic, 100 players online maximum? It's because people get bored of doing the same things over and over - no new content on it, no new exciting updates to look forward to, just the same old game. We all got used to the Evolution of Combat, so this is also bad timing, don't bring old servers.. just leave the game as it is.

If this takes away even one ounce of development time from the primary game, I and many other players will be FURIOUS.
