... And wasn't this like right around the time there were trade limitations and no wildy...

Wait a minute, u need to be a member to vote? U dont even got 100k + Members? How do u think jagex? Its all about the money isnt it? You just want players to pay membership to vote and gain some money. This will never work. #RS2010-11

Jagex, I know you make a lot of people happy. But there are loads who want to play Pre-EoC servers, which are from 19 November 2012. Please support us as well, we only need the EoC removed. That way we can play on from the moment we've quitted, because of EoC. Before that, RuneScape was perfect!


REMOVE EOC!! PLZ =) AND CONTINUE UPDATES AND ETC WITH ORIGINAL RUNESCAPE

I am freaking ecstatic about the 2007 server(s). No Grand Exchange, no God Wars Dungeon, no Dungeoneering, no Summoning, a completely uncluttered wildy w/o a big-ass volcano to navigate around, free trade, old wildy, best armor in the game goes back to being dragon and barrows, etc... It doesn't get any better than this. However, there are a few concerns.

1) Jagex is forcing people to buy membership in order to vote. Here we go back to the idea that they are in it just for the money, and not the concerns of the players.

2) I quit RS because of a mistake Jagex made. Mod MMG admittedly used the word "mistake". Therefore I refuse to pay any extra money in addition to normal membership fees, to have the privilege of playing a retro server. Nevermind the additional $15 extra if only 50,000-249,999 people vote yes. That's ridiculous.

3) Not only will I not pay extra for that privilege, but because Jagex forced me to quit, I would expect my membership to be reinstated at the veteran player cost of $5(USD), which is what I was originally paying before I quit.

4) If I do play a Aug. 2007 server, I wouldn't want any updates at all. It would no longer be an Aug. 2007 server at that point.

I have been playing since Classic. Absolutely loved Runescape 2 when it was launched. Changes slowly started happening to the game, some good (like God Wars), some great (like the GE), some shattering (like taking away Wildy, no free trade, and especially EoC). It would be simply great to go back to 2007 times. It would be great to have the GE, newer quests, God Wars and all that stuff before EoC. That's just my humble opinion.

But let's be honest... You drastically changed things. People quit. Wait a few months (possibly so that the $5.00/month grace period for the people that have been with you for so long diminishes after because they quit). Then say you can have back everything you really miss - for a larger monthly fee no matter what the circumstance...

Kinda just sounds like a big money ploy to me. If you really cared about what players wanted, wouldn't you just bring it back and implement what they [want to] pay for, without higher prices and resetting stats back to nil? EoC wasn't the best decision for the majority, obviously, so why make us pay more for the overall outcome?

I used to think Jagex had a few good souls only worried about making the world's most popular MMORPG a great game for and about players. Now it just seems like money is the greater demon.

It doesn't make sense to make only members available to vote. Alot of the people that are members now weren't playing Runescape in 2007 and therefore play it now. When you take into account the number of people paying memberships, I garuntee it wasn't taken into account how many of them are bots.

My idea, raise the stretch goals slightly (800,000 - 1,000,000) but make it so all paying members and anyone who has been a member in the past can vote... It's a lot more fair to all the dedicated loyal members. This game isn't Runescape anymore right now. It's not what we all grew to love. That's why alot of us arn't playing anymore and are not paying for membership. Just because we are disappointed in your decisions doesn't mean we arn't loyal.

Is this where I vote? I've been a loyal runescape player for years, and I want nothing more than to have the old runescape return. I logged onto the new EOC for a total of about 3.3 minutes and didn't like it whatsoever and haven't logged in since. If you bring back 2007 runescape or ANYTHING prior to eoc, i will begin playing again. Otherwise, i will be canceling my membership soon.

Everyone that doesnt agree with it or is complaining about how bad it will be.. think of it this way.. u dont lose anything AT ALL for voting yes.. u still have ur happy and lovely eoc runescape with sof and runespan.. but on the plus if it comes back u who hate old rs and all these old members whining about it, you could shut them all up once and for all if you could get their classic rs back for them.. it doesnt hurt you in any way then why are you whining about it being stupid?
