I'm glad to see this actually being addressed. I can't wait to renew my membership for this, and I'm sure it's the same for many others. Thank you Jagex for listening to the many people who have been asking for this. Smart decision for you guys financially and to restore faith into veteran players that still come on these forums and look for stuff like this everyday.

A few years ago, there would be 180,000 players on line most any eve. Now it is more like 80,000***** really does need to do something. I think many players would go for the old version if they could keep their stats. I am sure there are many technical reasons why that can't be done. So, is this the silver bullet? Maybe not. For me, I want the grand exchange to stay, and eoc, micropayments to go. I do appreciate many of the small improvements in the past year or so.

It probably is a mistake to refuse to roll back eoc and micropayments and offer 2007 as the alternative. It is true that RS is in a tight place. What they choose to do now will most likely determine whether RS continues to survive.

I would love it if you introduce servers that have both 2007 and 2006 and current rs times with all the new items and such, i really enjoyed that game and it is the game i fell in love with and this would make me wanna play runescape with my new skills that i've gotten over the years as runescape has changed and i wonder what drygores look like in rs classic

i really look forward to this happening and this will bring my faith back into runescape, i never gave up

Only current members can vote? What about those who would be willing to pay the $5, even $15, a month to play the older version, but don't have a current membership, who don't want to play the current version. Why should we pay to only vote to play a game we would willingly pay for otherwise?..

its not fair!! ive been playing since 05, i jsut got my quest cape??? and if i want to go back to the good old days, i have to start over??? and do all those quests???????? its just not fair at all, the econ on the main game will get screwed because of the amount of players swicthing to the old game, only to get bord when they relize that it takes to long to lvl? GG and this is the death of the game

I'm guessing importing your stats won't be an option? I mean I rather keep my name and the same account and stats, I worked really hard to get my max cape, 6+ years. I don't want to do that all over again. This is the reason I was looking for Pre-Eoc servers or worlds, so we don't have to start from scratch. Oh well I guess this is good enough, but it's not getting my vote.
