I'm with you on that. It's funny, a good chunk of the players who know how to find forums don't know how to read.

Basically every member should vote for this, even if they don't want it. They have nothing to lose, but *he classic players have everything to gain.

I prefer the current RS, but I wouldn't mind playing the old servers here and there. And it's odd hearing people whine about having to start at level 3, back when EoC was in beta phase the pures were ranting about how they don't make new accounts for the unfair advantage, they make it for the fun and challenge of starting over and raising their levels in a specific way. I wonder what happened to that...

While this is a good decision by Jagex, but the 'tiers' that they posted is somewhat steep. Especially since Jagex keeps the actual number of active members to themselves- and no longer shows the total number of players playing on the website. (as far as I can see, anyway, last time I bothered looking at this site was before the whole revamp for the dungeoneering stat.)

Personally, I would vote for this, but I'm not going to pay 8 bucks just to have a say in this major voting poll. I need to see some action being done on Jagex's end outside of empty words before I give them money again.

personally i wont pay for the old rs but hopefully i will be able to log in and get creamed by the pkers like i did when i first started rs in 2007.
starting over in the old rs will kinda suck but then ill be playing the eoc more then looking back at the good old days. so getting creamed by the pkers will be a joy lol
i wonder how long it will take for the 750k pkers to reup their membership just to be able to pk one more time . stand in the banks selling their ill gotten gains. maybe rs 07 should have a different coin so the bots working it wont mess with the eoc economy.
and yay all those quest to do all over again. yes let them have cake id like a slice every now and then myself.

Ooh, you guys are going to love this. I have played RuneScape for almost 10 years, and I am a pro-EoC person, seeing as the old combat system was something I've wanted changed since I joined the game. Now, after reading on the RS Facebook page, and reading through the first 38 pages of this beautiful forum post, I'm going to share some things with you all, because it's not going through your skulls.

I do approve 2007Scape. I approve starting from level 3, with everyone on equal ground. I approve a SEPARATE team to work on this that WON'T take away from our current updates, as Jagex has already stated. I approve of there being no micro-transactions. Now, some things keep getting asked multiple times, and I've seen these same things answered multiple times. And I've seen them answered in the first post as well.

Level 1 - 50,000 or more votes:

"...with an additional membership fee of around $15." Now, everyone is acting like this is the end of the world. If you don't play 2007Scape, you won't be paying for this! You will not be charged for a service you are not using. D: Chill out.

Level 2 - 250,000 or more votes:

"...additional membership fee of around $5 extra." This is going to be the likely scenario. And that's cool. So get your heads away from the $15 one. Again, you won't be paying for it if you don't play 2007Scape.

Now for the fun part.

Level 4 - 750,000 or more votes:

"...no extra membership fee and (((the free portion of the game available to all)))."
See that, in parentheses? That little claus? To all of you asking WHY this vote requires membership aside from what is in the topic... think about it. 2007Scape is going to be a MEMBERS ONLY FEATURE, just like RS Classic sign-up. So if you want to whine about getting membership back to vote, but you also want to play 2007Scape... Guess what? You're gonna have to pay to play ALL of 2007Scape anyway. Only if we reach 750,000 votes will PART of 2007Scape be free.

Have fun thinking about that!

Plus, a lot more people would come back to RS to check it out/or renew their membies :)

finally a pre-eoc server will be realised!
I like it so much, but personally... I don't really want a 2007 rs, it's more for old school pks... what is good and fun! but what would happen to those skillers and with those who like minigames and recently quests? there are so many things missed on that 2007 rs like gwd..*** (which i always use and find it very helpful and important) skills like dung, weapons, armours umm idk...

I also think that ppl will play more for nostalgic reasons than for the game itself... and once they try it, they'll get bored... also there will be surging many bots, etc.

IMO you can play the server for nostalgic reasons but it won't be the same as it was when u was playing it cause then u were a noob and u can't get those noob memories back... and neather there won't maybe be your old good friends :l

why not u guys make a 2009-2010 rs sever? it would be better at least for my and for my friends I think. And 500k+ are a lot of votes considering that there are a huge bot poblation and that all the ones who does not liked the EOC quitted or are now f2p players >****; 500k+ votes will be so hard to obtain :X but not impossible.

another thing what I don't like about is that u will start from zer0...i'm lazy and I don´t want to spend like 3 years again lvling my lvls...
