The members-only vote thing is to insure real players are voting; not bots. They don't really need the money as they make like a million a month alone from microtransactions.

Please people, get over having to be a member to vote bit. If you truly loved old RS you would do anything to bring it back. Lucky for me, I'm still a member and didn't leave yet.

Starting from scratch is THE best part, everyones noob, everyone has the chance to be the best.

Im fairly high level, this is not my first account and i couldnt care less about my whole bank/char. Getting same chances as everyone to start over = most fun and biggest motivation boost ever.

ToastBeans, you can save your account to the '07 server. You will start out with the exact same account name/******** etc. But you will start completely fresh at level 3 with stats as if you just created the account.

Why do people keep including TRIAL accounts??? If you subtract everyone who hasn't gained a SINGLE exp you get 776k accounts. You guys don't even have 750k (or maybe even 500k) PAYING members. And of course even if you do I doubt even 30% of them are going to be voting (similar to the population of voters in politics).

Making the voting system based on membership is completely absurd. A lot of people quit because of this nonsense.

All I see here is another grab for cash. It makes me wonder how much resources it actually takes for a 2007 to be up and running again.

And when they say 2007 will be supported by a development team, they probably mean SOF/SOLOMAN team.

It's quite clear that you're not a true 2007 player. The Exchange was pretty much the end of RS economics and difficulty as we know it. ANY items are available via the GE which destroyed any interaction outside of Varrock and made item retrieval trivial. I will likely abstain from playing if the GE is in.
