Jagex, I know you make a lot of people happy. But there are loads who want to play Pre-EoC servers, which are from 19 November 2012. Please support us as well, we only need the EoC removed. That way we can play on from the moment we've quitted, because of EoC. Before that, RuneScape was perfect!


REMOVE EOC!! PLZ =) AND CONTINUE UPDATES AND ETC WITH ORIGINAL RUNESCAPE
NO STARTING OVER OR ANYTING JUST AS WE LEFT IT B4 SAD EOC

This is f******* stupid. There are 1.3 million active members, and 1 million of them are bots? And you expect us to get to above 50k? Maybe even 100k? And is the $15 going to be per month or once. It's ******** to even make us pay for it, you messed up the game, you make the vote, and yet your expecting people to pay for members to vote once and PAY ON TOP OF THAT to play the OLD GAME PEOPLE LIKED. You guys are seriously a joke. I hope you read this.

This is great news to me if it comes back, it's what i use to play back then.

Even if i had to start over i don't mind, it's Worth it to bring back my Childhood Memories.

Been playing rs for about 9 Years.

i have like...6-8 99's but i don't mind lol.

Oh dear, Oh dear, Oh dear - Where to start?

Much like everyone else I was excited to see whether the older servers would come back and re-live nostalgia, but I have come to re-think my decision and am now against the update.

Here is why;

1) I suspect this is an attempt to get the pre 2006 players who have quit back into the game. This will not work - Many have left due to real life changes and will never come back no matter how many older aspects are re-created and re-introduced.

2) The Rs economy in the 2007 server will crash and remain stagnant. Most of the community who will play on the servers will be pkers who enjoy the simple life, skillers will not go back in force to slower rates of exp, less methods to train and so there will not be enough items to facilitate and provide for the community. Players will get angry after trying to buy sharks and pots for 20k at edgeville bank for 3 hours and after a few months will quit the server.

3) Will Jagex really make money off the idea? I expect there to be a massive community for the idea at the start but after awhile (2-4 months) players will start to get bored as more and more go back to the current runescape, meaning fewer pkers and less players on the server. Will their be enough to maintain such a server over a long period of time?

4) A life without the Grand Exchange - Good luck! The Rs player base is not the same as it once was and never will be, current players are impatient and are used to fast and efficient methods of obtaining and buying items.

5) I would like Jagex to post the details of the poll (once it has ended) to see how many pre-2007 players have actually voted on the poll. As most of the older players have now quit, how can a new community vote on something it has never played?

6) Players dont seem to realise the content they will lose, If possible please could a jagex mod post key aspects of the game which will not be included in the 2007 servers? Players need this information.

7) Again players will have to adapt to a new play style, whilst newer players are still getting used to Eoc - True it is a choice and you dont have to play the 2007 servers, but those that do will have to change tactics and adapt again to a new play style (Anyone becoming dizzy?)

8) Sadly most of resource and necessary items are now provided by bots - Dragon Bones/Hides/Herbs and pretty much every other item necessary to level skills. Will the bots flood the servers and leave the current community, even with the counter measures?

9) Slower exp per hour - For those wishing to pk, training your stats will become a lot harder - Back to rock crabs for pures I think :P , You will see what was once 300k/hour melee exp become 70k/hour - Are you willing to spend that time levelling if you decide you want to level a stat?

10) I presume you wont be able to "float" between servers, constantly bringing items for the current Rs to the older servers and expect that all players will begin anew? Unless Jagex are willing to retrace name changes and revert stats (A lot of work :P )

Either way I think this will split the Rs community in two, I cant see a recovery from this :|

Interesting, though I am neutral to this sort of things, it is understandable why people have to start anew in the 2007 version.

Reason 1: People want to go back to 2006/2007, they found a backup OF runescape, not the player stats.

Reason 2: Some Skills of today didn't exist in 2006/2007. Which means that our current stats will be too much for the old version.

Reason 3: You want to go to the past version, live with it. If you want to continue with your current stat play the recent version of Runescape. Past Runescape, Past you.

wow so many posts in one day Runescape player over 10 years - Loves to Quest, and check the lore.
