Gonna be a lot of people crying about wanting their stats transferred..........

It's old content...... Jagex is willing to provide it to all the whiners, but its not as if they keep a backup of everyone's stats for over 5 years......

This is so funny.......

How many RuneScape players does it take to change a lightbulb?
One to replace it and the rest to complain about how they liked the old one better.

This is huge news. quite possibly the biggest update ever. i may prefer the new to the old, but i totally support this move. it would be nice to relive the days before EoC and SoF. might be able to see tutorial island. i really miss that place. :') i shall definitely vote YES for this, and i hope many others feel the same way. :D

No, everyone will start fresh.

Yes, you’d have a unique ‘save game’ on each version of the game, but access with the same account credentials, so you only need to remember one username and ********.


Makes it so theres no more gambling possible, since there is no economy, makes it so theres no discontinued rares, tiz basically a perfect server.

Of course i wouldn't play it, since 2007 scape got boring in 2007. Lots of people don't remember how the rs economy got started, zillions of people farming lowbie area's forever. 20+ people getting cowhides, just to level up their crafting a bit. It wont last for long since this is equal to a server wipe. Only people that like pking will play it longterm, since theres no skilling benefits, to keep people there.

Now triple xp rate or something may lure more, but the goal of this is to quelsh the 2007babies...

People better hope for the $15/month version, as that would be the only thing preventing vast hordes of gold-farming bots from overrunning every corner of the world. As it is, the regular players will be botting their little hearts out, given there won't be either the staff or the programming to control them. Especially the Pker crowd, who won't want to fall behind the other Pkers, so most of them will be running their rock crab and yak bots 24/7.

Still, I plan on voting for it. I won't be playing, but if it gets some of the complainers out of the main worlds, so much the better.
