This is Really Great News !! although a Later version would of been Preferable like 2011 to 2012 would of been perfect. not 2007 plus the $5 or $15 extra.
you took the game away we loved so why do we have to pay extra for your Mistake
I love the Grand Exchange thank you so very much for listening to all us devoted Runescape Players but you get so much money out of Solomon store & Squeal of fortune you could afford to cover any cost for extra severs and still be swimming in money I will Definitely Be Voting for this if its 2012 per Eoc !

Interesting....

While part of me does want the old style servers back, another part of me fears what would become of the main game if they were implemented. If they are as popular as some people anticipate, I fear it could create competition for the main game and looking at our current number, we can't really survive much more.

Not at first I was pleased to see that only member could vote, fantastic, it will keep out the bot votes and mass account creation that would cause a distorted view on what the community wants. Then a though occurred to me...does that 14 day trial still exist? If it does, will that entitle them the right to vote when activated...??!

There is, without a doubt, less than 500K members of RuneScape after the induction of EOC ingame servers. That being said, it will not be a possibility to get that many votes. Jagex obviously knows this and used that to base the amount of votes needed, with the only logical number being 50k.

Jagex doesn't want the voting to be rigged, yet they're going to rig it from the start.

I know my post will not be heard, but please, lower the voting numbers! There is not enough members anymore because many people have quit!

Probably not the only one to say this but.... lets assume 80k people are on at all times. this includes bots.

Since there are generally 3 main timezones, lets say there are a total of about 250k people who play in one day.

Now, subtract the 100k bots, and that is 150k humans that play this game.






JAGEX: You want 750k people to vote, while only 150k even play this game?
Im sorry, but either you're making it so it doesnt happen, or your numbers are off.


Keep this in mind: 1 server is 2k people, correct? lets say you make 5 2007 servers.

Thats 10k people, therefore 10k should vote, not 50k.



FINALLY: Because the only people who will play on those servers are the "members" who have already played since before eoc, and possibly since before 07, why not skip making money for once, and simply give them the game that they grew up to love, not squeeze the final $15 out of their wallet.

I think a mistake has been made in not opening up the vote to non-members seeing as the target audience for this update are those that left game in recent years and are therefore no longer paying members of the community. That said, I do hope that this update is voted in favour of and I am sure that when ex RS players catch wind of this they will return; if for nothing else, simply the nostalgia.

I for one played avidly, and lost many hours to the game, between the years of 2006-2009 and would pay for membership to play a 2007 version game at the drop of a hat. Despite this I would love to see a free version of the game return as well simply to re-establish and build the player base that has been lost over the years.
