It's about starting over in a completely new world.
Where everyone can get together and BUILD THE WORLD.
BUILD THE GAME.
CONTROL THE COMMUNITY.
WORK TOGETHER.
SOCIALIZE.


Why don't you realize this people?
Have you forgotten that this is an MMORPG and it is supposed to be played socially?
Why do you want to start in a world with everything handed to you already?

support to pwnage you are fighting the good battle, i'm an 05 vet. (dispite what my membership says) and i have 6 99's uncluding 99 hp which takes a VERY long time to get. i am willing to throw that away to have a chance at old runescape because having these stats in 2013 scape are pointless

let me clearify THIS: if you are willing to sacrifice all of your hard work voluntarily, then so be it.
you are being very selfish here. I have been playing for 7+ years as well. and let me tell you I'm not lazy. if anything I'm fighting for the hard work and progress I have sacrifice on this game. it would be very depressing to see it all be wiped out and forgotten in a server I would like it to be remembered.
Most of us aren't lazy, we just have jobs, school, children and cannot keep up with people who clearly have more time on their hands like you do. please don't speak for all of us.

so let me get this straight you want 750k people to reply before you will open this out to free players, if we go back to the Runescape eoc beta you had like 5 worlds with 300 on each at one time, that makes 1,500 people playing the beta and yet when you bring up a poll for members only and you get 100k + people voting to say they want to keep RS07 or have a seprate sever. It will only be allowed for members currently, even though the free players dont even get a vote, you should allow ex members to vote also, this will allow people like myself who dont buy membership anymore sinse the eoc because we dont like the new combat system. Do you even listen to the players Jagex?

Dan, you're being a little selfish as well. All of the new players that will start up will not stand a chance against your stats. You're thinking only about the older players. You will keep all your hard work in the EOC. You can change between your low leveled 2007 account, and your high-leveled EOC account. Your stats wont be wiped out or forgotten. It's more fair to everyone to reset than to give them their statistics from the EOC.

You've always got EOC to go to.
Not all of us have the most time in life either.
We've already had a few people post about their success in the past and how busy they will be. Yet they understand building a game from the ground up would be a lot more interesting and in turn fun.

We're all given a chance. A fair playing field.
Like I said. I'd rather everyone bond together to create the game and one day have it become as big as the main game is today.
I want the game to feel special.
A lot of us do apparently.

Others have no right to take that away from us.
You can always go to EOC and have your stats and your characters there.
Some of us want that special feeling though. Knowing that we're doing something impactful. We're not just bringing another whip into the game. We're not just smithing another rune platebody.
We're creating the game.

We're not just training our stats for the sake of having a silly cape, but for the sake of being the first to 99. Or for having the ability to smith rune. Mine rune. Cut magic logs. Fish sharks. Create an economy. Create the game world ourselves.
Not something we came into premade.
But something we're putting effort into ourselves.

If you want premade.. If you want everything handed to you.. If you want to keep your stats.. Go play EOC, because a lot of us are fine with the reset. A lot of us want to restart from the beginning and you can't take that away. Doing so would be silly. To take from us when all you need to do is log into an EOC world.

Sorry Dan i understand your pain but the big picture is we get runescape 2007 back. Sure it sucks but its what we must pay for the mistake of EoC, sometimes life isn't fair but at least we are getting another chance to have old runescape

Not all of us are fine with the reset, in fact, you have this mind-set that it will be a perfect economy. you couldn't be more wrong.
There will be bots, no regulated prices. people will be able to make up there own prices.
you are laking a basic understanding of economics.
nothing was handed to me, I worked hard for my skills and nobody grabd my hand along the way. don't tell me to go jump on the eoc now, I have as much right to say and play as you do. and I will not stand down, because if you simply want to experience everything from scratch again, you just have to create a new account, and not keep everyone from keeping their own stats, you selfish player.

I'm glad we are getting 2007 servers back trust me.
but to start again? like if nothing ever happened? no, we can do better than that. you just have to want it.
