"I like how it's members-only, none of us long-since-gone veterans can vote. Are there even 750k members? Whilst I'd love to re-live the golden days, I do not want to pay for membership for the modern version of the game - it's an insult to what it once was. An additional charge is a definite no-no. I'd happily play it were it free/cheaper than the main game."

The only way 500k would be achievable is if around 250k resubbed just to vote in the poll (I'm guessing Jagex hoped for that to happen). But its a pretty cheap tactic to but the tiers so high, and require it to be members only.

I'm guessing Jagex know all to well that bots won't vote, and already had a pre-determined figure of how many people would take part in the poll.

Then when they release the servers (with a $15/$5 month fee ontop of current membership ROFL), there won't be many people playing on them because no one is willing to pay that much for a service that private servers can give for free. Then Jagex can palm it off as 'a failure' or say 'not enough people were interested'.

It really doesn't cost a thing to host a 2007 runescape server, which I believe is the only thing that can redeem runescape from being the laughing stock of browser games it currently is.

The potential of past members coming back is enough to warrant them having a vote, the fact they were interested enough to vote in the poll should be enough."

Open your eyes, we got over 100k in about a day that's because that's the majority of the players that want to play 2007Scape...

We barely have 140k right now. Jagex just made money from all the players that renewed there membership just to vote and they'll keep making more money from those same players when they play 2007Scape by paying like $12 or $20 dollars a month.

If we don't reach 500k+ votes, 2007Scape will die. Not a lot of people can keep paying $20 a month or even $12..."

Now there is nothing about this on the forums, since the thread by Mmg lead me to believe otherwise. Maybe we all misunderstood who know's.

They are just trying to strengthen their current game. This game will more than likely be a subsection of the main forums, making it hard to find so it can die even faster. Most new member probably will never know it exists.

There isn't even 600,000 active members. The 8.2 Million is lies, the leaderboards show 1.8 Million members and only 800,000 of them have at least 1 experience. Around 630,000 have at least 20,000 experience gained. Then you can rip out a good chunk of the RWT's, inactive members, misinformed players, confused players, and those who just leave their memberships running. There's probably only 400,000 potential votes or less. So we actually have a huge portion of their member base voting. Obviously the FREE player's can't vote and not even those who were a member for 10 years and just quit can vote. They can't even vote if they have many 99 stats or over 100,000,000 total experience. The poll is rigged and anyone who disagrees is misinformed.

You start at level 3, no items, no stats, no experience.

You won't get anything converted from the Current RuneScape onto the 2007 RuneScape.

You won't get anything converted from the 2007 RuneScape onto the Current RuneScape.

You won't have the stats you had back in 2007, if you actually play during this time.

Please people read the whole thread and maybe you'd be more informed on what this update involves.

4th tier allows FREE players to play in their own FREE worlds.
3rd tier allows no additional costs on top of the CURRENT RS FEE's.
4th tier allows dedicated development, which is needed to keep the game strong.
2nd tier allows bot protection.


Many more thing's should really read the main thread more and see exactly what each tier's provided along with the FAQ's.

now im seeing talk about people thinking you need to pay membership on EOCscape, and then the $15-$5 for 2007 servers.... What i thought it would be is $15-*5 to use the server, then what ever they want to charge for membership on the 07.
