Saw this in my email inbox and it brought a smile to my face. I only really play RS when the WoW arena season ends. I logged onto the main game and couldn't be bothered with the new EoC update. However reading this thread and seeing i'd have to pay more in membership + additional charges AND start from level 3 again is way to much for an inferior game. Thanks but no thanks.

I completely agree with this. There are 3 probable reasons why this is not the case:

1: Alot of people would be able to vote 2+ times, while they wouldn't play on more than 1 account at the same time. This could make the new server less profitable or anything.. (I dont know much about the cost of setting up this server, my guess would be they earn ALOT even if only for instance 5000 people would play it)

2: Since tons of people have been a member in the past, and alot of people dont play anymore, what would the goal be? 750K would be easily achieved, maybe even the first day ..

3: Jagex is GREEDY AS F*** since they sold it to another company or something.. Or at least that's what I heard.

Who cares about any of the bots? They aren't a concern at this point. The oldest players, as a community, including me, have been asking for this for years. Hundreds of thousands of people will return to routinely playing RS. Those who say that the 2009 version was the best didn't live the old 2004-2006 days when the true best days of Runescape were going on. I am very happy to see this happening. Thank you Jagex, this will not be a waste of time because it will financially boost your revenue drastically over time with the returning old school players who currently play private servers or nothing at all.

"It's really good that you're bringing in 2007 servers but come on the number of votes for certain levels are unrealistic... It should be something like;

Level 1- 50k

Level 2- 125k

Level 3- 250k

Level 4- 500k"
