There aren't 750,000 active members!

I've been polling/requesting data from various locations, forums, and other areas.

They told us that 8,229,459 people were active in a two week span before this poll began. They forgot to inform you that these are only accounts who have logged in within this time period. I'd like to go over a list of people who will affect this total value.

RWT – Each person creates 5 through 50 accounts and bots various skills to obtain resources resulting in millions-billions of GP per day. Overtime they increase their available accounts.

THROW AWAYS – Each person generating 1000's of accounts to perform various objectives such as Squeal of Fortune spins and then transferring the prizes over to a main profile. We can see in the leaderboards there are over 1,000,000 profiles without a single experience gained. The minimum is a player named "rgdfh5ydfhcv" who has 1155 experience.

BANNED/LOCKED/DELETED - They never mentioned anything relating to these accounts, but the leaderboards never lie. The leaderboards show roughly about 1.8 Million players and it’s actually gone down 20,000 about since yesterday now at currently 1,809,058 Players.

FREE MEMBERS - They come in a large mass and I've been recording data for awhile now to get results at 20% - 30% of the players are FREE based. It usually hovered near 23%-25%.

They don't have nearly enough member profiles to vote for this, I'm not currently a member, but I also will not pay for the current RuneScape. I'm willing to pay for the old RuneScape, but it should be a separate payment system.

They went about this all wrong, provided inadequate information, misinformed the community, rushed the polling, and provided a voting system to undermine the actual results and attempt to prove that no one really wanted this update when that's in fact invalid.

They even clearly stated that members with a few days of membership are more valuable to them. Then someone who was a member for 5-10 years or more.

IF the 2007 server does go thru, would adding the Task system(achievement diaries) be ****idered overpowering or whatever?I know the Karamja diary is in effect so was hoping the rest could also be added.

I've thought of an idea that is likely to gratify both Jagex and players alike. Feeling let down by the current version of RuneScape, I was happy to hear that Jagex were potentially releasing servers from the 2007 era. I think it would be beneficial to all if you could opt to pay for the current version of RuneScape OR the 2007 version OR both.

For those of you who haven't already seen, the article here

http://services.runescape.***/m=news/2007---old-school-runescape-you-vote

states how dedicated the team will be to working on the 2007 servers, and how much ADDITIONAL money it will cost to play it.

I have no intention of playing the current day version of RuneScape, so I would not like to pay the existing membership rate, plus extra, to play only on the 2007 servers. Therefore, I think it would be a good idea to let people have the option of paying only for the 2007 version, and being subscribed to that; still being free-to-play on the existing version.

From September 2005 - May 2012, I kept the monthly membership rate of £3.20, which is approximately $5. In the 'level 2' bracket (mentioned in the above link), players will have to pay this amount IN ADDITION to the existing membership costs to play on the 2007 servers. I'm sure many other players, like me, would happily pay this rate WITHOUT the existing membership costs to play ONLY the 2007 servers. Players may be discouraged from paying to play the 2007 servers if they have to pay extra for something they don't want (the existing version). I think it would be more commercially beneficial to everyone if people had the option to do this; it would certainly encourage players with a genuine interest in the 2007 era to return, including myself! (Similarly, if it doesn't pass the 'level 1' bracket, there should be an option to pay only ~ £10/$15 for the 2007 servers.)

I myself shall only consider returning if it passes the 500K mark, or the 250K mark if this idea is implemented.

I've played this game since 05 and I'd love to see it come back to it's glory days when it was truly the number one game around, sadly it has fallen over years of updates players never wanted resulting in people not enjoying the game. By this being a members only pole you've cut out 70% of votes by catering to the few players who play this game that has fallen so low. I highly doubt this game even has an active 250k members so you've set goals that are out of reach. People are buying membership on multiple accounts just to get numbers up.

Also you stated that it will be an extra membership fee of $5-$15 adding on to the current fee of membership? Do you really think a $12-22 monthly membership will bring back a lot of players? If you charged the membership fee at what it is currently then you'd still bring in a huge profit for players that really want this game back. This game used to have 250k+ players on at one time and it's dropped by 60% over the years and charging people a sum of $12-22 isn't going to bring them back, that's why private servers have been bringing in huge amounts of players because they're not charging anything for people to enjoy the game they loved. If you removed the extra fees then you'd literally hurt the private server community's by stealing their players. You've battled against servers for years and this would literally win you the war.

Finally, if you're willing to open up a non-members poll even for one week I'd bet you anything all the votes you'd get would be 10x compared to the current members pole, I mean look at the wilderness and free trade pole it received over 1.7m votes. A huge number like that from free players? that's 17x currently what we have for this 07 server vote. If you're really a business who cared about the community and making a profit you'd open a free pole, you wouldn't have to use the results from the free pole but you should see how many people really want this game to come back to what it was.

Jagex is getting all the money they have received from me so far.Jagex shoved that unwanted EOC crap down our throats and said love it or leave.I therefore cancelled all future payments to Jagex. Now after a few members have left Runescape due to EOC, Jagex suddenly finds an old version backup and offers it at an additional cost on top of regular subscription. If the pre-EOC Runescape is implemented at a higher than normal subscription rate i will no longer support Jagex.I did vote for the 2007 server and hope we get the max votes needed by the end of this unadvertised, unannounced vote.
